As of 2006, 66% of students speak a first language other than English. The school opened in 1959.LocationInitially, the board planned to build two separate schools on the site with a shared heating plant, but in October 1957, trustee Dorothy Bishop prepared a report which raised the possibility of saving money by placing the two schools under one roof, as had previously been done in Vancouver and Calgary.DMCI shares its building with Don Mills Middle School (formerly Don Mills Junior High). They have different street addresses and the interior is designed in a way that keeps the schools separated except for a common library. Best high school that anyone would wish for their kids to be in.nHard working team in all departments Cyber Art / DD/ Normal Classesnnonstop supporting students and their families.nFull of kindness, love and respect.nIn the past days they surprised their students by therapy dogs to heal their stress after a year of hard work.nToday graduation was a success.
This school is disgusting, broke, dirty and full of hatin ah people . Don’t get me STARTED with mr GEOFFREY VANEK. He will not care about your problems. Do not run to him. Ms baker will throw attitude at you and tell you you’re wasting her time. Mr Witt is so much more nicer than them. Anyways, the guidance councelors are a literal waste of time. They’re like mr vanek. Vice princaples are supposed to be nice and caring but what is this . You cannot have a conversation with mr geoffrey vanek without going to his office and him calling your parents. Sorry but an opinion of mines is I think he’s Lowkey racist. Please do NOT get me started with the washrooms. Oh my god. You will go into the bathroom and smoke will come out or you’ll see two people in the same stall like goodnight . Two floors to this school and the second floor is one hallway like at this point DONT even make a second floor . Don mills is the worst. idc if u get offended you can cry cuz it’s my opinion
My brother is in this school. :Dnedit: I graduated this school 6 years later after this original post and it was a revolting period of my life that i would do anything to never live in again. The bus stands are horrible, the students esp the young ones not only look disgusting and short in a genetic disorder type of way, but also act disgusting and have no respect for anyone else. Also most of the teachers have no compassion for anyone else and constantly have b0ners which they don't know how to hide. The only good thing is the snack program's chocolate milk, but even that got taken away a bunch of times because of the ugly rat looking 4'11 smelly gr nines.
I attended this school for 4 years and it was until the last 3 with the admin change over that made my life 100X more miserable. The school itself is an old building and the bathrooms are disgusting. The people are quite intelligent and the school is generally very liberal.nHOWEVER, I don't think I've ever come across such useless and unkind admin and office staff. I was treated like a child and an inconvenience whenever i came in with a question or even to sign myself in.nn10/10 do not recommendnnobviously this is not my real name or email
Great school, went here for all 4 of my highschool years. Students and teachers are friendly and sociable. Has many students and teachers passionate about extracurriculars related to technology, business, sports and music. And had a particularly good music scene when i was there.nnP.S. This school is one of the easiest to climb for parkour beginners
