Wow! If I could give this place a 6/5 I would. The swordfish ceviche was amazing, lots of fish, sweet cocunut and spicy pepper. Amazing. They mojitos were so good, they use fresh cane juice as sweetener, just like if you were in Miami or somewhere tropical. We had the beef and shrimp tacos. The beef had great flavour, my boyfriend liked the shrimp I thought the crab aioli was strong but still good. We also had the crispy pork sizzler with lettuce wraps and wow really good. The entree size is big. Please go you won't regret it!
I wish we could give half stars since this place would get 3.5. The atmosphere is relaxed with mellow lighting. I was there with another person. Pork spring rolls - Underwhelming for 10 bucks, at least the papaya dipping sauce was better than average. Swordfish Kinilaw - Sublime, an eclectic mix of sweet and savoury with rich flavour in every part of the dish, the presentation was good as well. Cassava mash tortilla - the star of this dish was really the mushrooms, the cassava was good but everything else on the tortilla seemed a bit bland compared to the mushrooms. Beef short rib tortilla - sweet sauce and tender beef, this went down quick. Sisig Sizzler - Absolute bomb of flavour, it went very well with the in house hot sauce and banana ketchup. Overall the food was fairly unique and tasty. The star of the show for me was the Sisig sizzler. The main downside was the poor service, our table was in front of the bar and got passed several times while our waters were empty, in addition our empty plates piled up and weren't cleared even when we got our next dishes. This is basic stuff. The food was the saving grace. Apologies for the low quality pictures, we did not want to disturb the other diners with flash.
Cozy place with great service, ambiance & food. It’s def pricier than 2 $ signs for the portions. Pictures: Current Menu & Shrimp Ceviche
The chicken wings are amazing. If there's a better Filipino-style fried chicken in Toronto I'd like to hear about it. Cozy place with a great menu, though the price/portion is a little high. Love the food, wish I could afford to eat there more often. Maybe a happy hour is the answer...
The nachos blew my mind. A fresh take and perfect portions of toppings. Mouthfuls of bliss. Thank you so much for those. The service is top notch. I don't usually effuse like this but was really impressed by the staff and the food. Great job guys!
Food is tasty, great variation of mojitos. Great environment and good service. Totally recommend it!
Love this spot but they get minus one FOR ALWAYS changing the menu and getting rid of their best dishes. Please stop. Keep your loyal fans and neighbours I live stumbling distance away coming in by sticking to your favourites. The new tacos? Please get rid of and go back to the traditional cuisine I fell in love with.
Food is too greasy to begin with. Had the rice and chicken, and out came soup of oil. Spring Rolls were decent. DECENT. JUST decent. Seating is odd. Staff focuses more on their horrible neck and hand tats than providing a good experience. Staff is too cool for school. Taking my business elsewhere.
Food was really unique and tasty. Big props to the server slash bartender for customizing a cocktail for us with extra Chili's and tequila... It was unreal. Overall a bit on the expensive side I think for what it is and the area but tis Toronto and it is what it is. Definitely would reccomend.
90s hip hop music, soul melting food, a great waiting staff, inspired themed cocktails and good prices. You Have to try this place. There is no question about it, this is a must go to place. I literally end up dancing n eating in my seat because I'm just that happy when I'm there.
