DMCL Chartered Professional Accountants - Vancouver

I had an urgent need to get a US partnership tax extension filed - our first year - our partners were dropping the ball all over the place - and Brad Robin helped me out when I was very much not calm! He explained the process, timing, got the extension done, and was on hand to do our 1040NR tax returns as well (b/c we owned US property and had some REIT tax withheld via a different investment - that was also new to us). Our partnership return was eventually done in Arizona b/c that is where our partners were and the properties. If DMCL hadn't been able to step in when needed that April, we would have faced a big fine. Recommend for Canadians needing help with US tax returns, partnership returns, and evaluating the risks/expenses/tasks associated with owning US property.

I had a great experience with DMCL. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and professional. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the Front desk was very hospitable. I enjoyed coming in to the office to do my taxes which can be very painful experience but found the experience to be enjoyable. I would recommend DMCL to anyone hands down.

I called to find out a ballpark figure for tax returns for actors and felt like my business wasn't important, and the girl on the phone just wanted to get me off the phone, not invite me to use their business. I asked what is the general cost for an actor's tax return...and was told 'it ranges depending on who you see' - Um, not helpful...so I said 'So, I'm going to get off the phone with no real information...' to which she replied (like she was rattling off a memorized script as quickly as she could so she could get back to whatever else she was doing...) 'it ranges...blah blah blah...from $100 and up'. I said "$100 and up? So...no real ballpark?' then quickly got off the phone myself knowing no guidelines as to what is entailed securing the $100 figure vs. the rest...but what I did know was that I felt like I was bothering this girl and she was annoyed with my question...No thanks, just lost my business and won't be recommending them I guess...
