Dixon's Campgrounds

This campground has its good and bad points. We had a nice, secluded spot but I had to change my reservation to get it as the first was too small. It's in a good location and clean enough. But there are nowhere near enough bathrooms for the number of people and they are unisex, which includes both the toilets and the showers. I don't like that at all. Also, the place swarms with rather rowdy, partying French Canadians, who won't be quiet even in the wee hours. I was there over labor Day weekend, which may have made conditions worse, but I complained about the noise (lots of "guests" with up to 40 or 50 people at a campsite), but nothing was done. If I ever go back, it won't be on a holiday weekend.

We stayed two nights. Our sites access required us to go the wrong way on a one way route. We were escorted in and out by the staff to clear the way. The restrooms and showers were very clean. There are outside sinks for washing if needed. The camp store is well stocked with the basics. This place was an excellent base too tour the area.

I don't have much camping experience, as I like to just rough it in a hammock, but Dixon's was a cool little campground. The showers were clean, and the bathrooms were nice. The quiet time rules worked well, and I liked the proximity to the beach. The pool was alright, but there was no place to dive anywhere.

This is a gem of a campground. Very nice sites and extremely well maintained. Brand new bathrooms with nice lighting. Excellent staff.

A nice clean camp ground. The sites are a bit close together but the staff is helpful and friendly. The campground is very conveniently located.
