I recently called the Welland branch, but was routed to a call centre.

The need to rent a cube truck had arisen, and I've seen their cube trucks on the road boasting unlimited mileage written on the side, so I thought I'd give them a try.

They couldn't rent a truck out to me because I didn't have a credit card in my name. Anytime I've wanted to rent a vehicle (from two of their competitors) in the past, as long as they had a credit card on file (my wifes), I could rent a vehicle. Typically I use my wife's credit card for such occasions, and I'm the primary driver.

But Discount refused to rent out to us because I was the primary driver, using her credit card. They said the primary driver needed a credit card in their name. Fortunately I was able to go back to one of their competitors and as the primary driver, using wifey' s credit card, we were able to rent out a cube truck.

I understand each company has its own practices, and insurance setup but I just find it odd that their competitors were willing to rent to us, and Discount wouldn't.

They matched a price for a van rental rona had previously offered. Harry was a Rockstar.

Will refuse to rent to you if you don't know the pin on your credit card. No other options available. Save your time and go somewhere else. 2 stars because the guy was friendly about it.

Terrible service. Tried calling 4 times. Stayed on the line 15-20 min each time and no answer.
