Awesome little pub. Great service. Chairs at the big table in the middle would have been more comfortable if they had a back to them. Overall a great night.Food: 5/5
On the hottest day of this summer we ventured to Dicey's, sat on the sweet oasis of a patio and had a most lovely dining experience in spite of the 40°C temperature. The service was stellar, the beer refreshingly cold brand from Calgary, see pic, prices shockingly decent, and the fish 'n chips sheer PERFECTION! You don't even know, people....I ate the whole portion of coleslaw, and usually that's a sketchy prospect, at best. Dicey Reillys , however, has nailed it. Will certainly make the trip to dine here again!
I would like to say that ""WOW" did this place ever change from when it was O'Malley's pub. It's no longer dark and dingy and the the bar up against the far wall now vs. in the middle of the room, it really opens it up and lets some light from the frontage of windows flood in. Everyone that works there that I've encountered has been excellent to deal with. They have Rail Head Lager on tap as their house beer and it is always the price that other establishments will have during happy hour their house tap beer, I believe it's $4.50 a pint. So of course being an Irish pub I must have the fish and chips, this is how i rate Irish pubs! Huge points for having malt vinegar in a bottle, not in packets, I hate it when it's in packets. The plate came out steaming hot with hand cut fries and well battered, delightfully crispy looking fish, and the slaw was amazing! The portion was fantastic, I wanted to absolutely love it. I did find the fish to be a touch bland with not much in the was of flavor in the batter. All in all, I found the meal to be good value and overall I couldn't complain too much about it. I have had some pretty atrocious fish and chips and this was far from that. On another visit I had their deluxe burger and for $16.00 it came with cheese and 4 pieces of bacon. I had the fries and gravy as well. The taste was delicious in the burger, I had just wish the homemade patty hadn't baseballed leaving a lot more bun that patty. And in my opinion the gravy was lacking flavor and far too watery. I felt like it was more appropriate to have with a beef dip, when I have fries and gravy I want it thick and meaty tasting. I do look forward to trying something new here, I would recommend this place to anyone and I will be back.
Our family favorite to head to, can't beat a good local pub! We either go just as a couple for a nice lunch, or bring the kids along for a dinner out. Food is delicious and all made in house.Food: 5/5
I'm new to town and found a review recommending this place. So happy I made the trip: such a friendly and close vibe, great recommendations on beer that I ended up really liking. Such high spirits during karaoke. A great place to call your regular go-to.Service: 5/5
Glad we went back. Second visit was so much better. Awesome service and a properly poured Guiness with a hearty beef stew. Service was top notch!Food: 5/5
A cozy Irish pub in the heart of St Albert. We didn't get food, but the beer selection was decent and they had what I was looking for. The waitress was super rad too. If I'm back in St Albert, I'll be back for a drink.Service: 5/5
Needed a late place for a bit and a pint. Saw this was close and rated well for its food. I agree with the reviews, all around a good spotFood: 5/5
Love the feel of this place! Cozy and traditional. We also noted and loved that they were playing Irish music, a must for an Irish pub in our view. Duncan the bartender was fantastic and made the experience all that much more. They have a short food menu that was good enough to choose from. Food was good and prices were fair. We found the drinks to be a bit more expensive $8.50 for a paralyzer and $8.00 for a pint of Irish beer. But we will be back despite the cost, we enjoyed our time here.
Probably one of the best meals I've had at a restaurant in a very long time. Incredible chicken pot pie. Really great atmosphere and lovely service.
