I can’t say enough of how professional, compassionate, calm, considerate and ethical Ajay and his team were while working on my case. It was a high-conflict case. I was on a roller coster of emotions and lots of stress, I bombarded his inbox with emails while he was patient & responsive. Ajay managed to give me one WIN after the other. He never took advantage to gain more money from me on the contrary he was very careful as advising me to avoid going to court unless necessary and spend that money on my children. Sometimes life throws you a curveball and your whole world turns upside down. Nearing the age most people look forward to retirement I was suddenly facing a divorce. After many years of marital discord and failed attempts to save the marriage, my husband made a choice that made reconciliation impossible. I was always the primary income provider and knew that a divorce would cripple me financially. My husband was making outrageous demands that left me fearful and distraught. I was an emotional mess! My employee assistance program covers a free consultation with a lawyer. They referred me to Ajay Devgun. I just wanted answers to have an idea what I could expect “to lose”. I am not confrontational and dreaded a court battle. Ajay was so calming and informative. He clearly described the collaborative law process to me. Before my free consult was over I not only had all my answers, but I knew I wanted to retain his services. All the way through the process he was attentive to my concerns and feelings and he always gave frank and honest answers. He helped me focus on the peace in the future vs the angst of “losing money”. Fighting in court was not the only option! What a relief. He helped me to conclude a difficult chapter of my life in a peaceful manner. I live far from Edmonton and he accommodated me with phone calls that worked with my schedule. When we finally met in person he was as calm and caring as he had been all the way through. We were referred to Devgun Law by my company assistance program. We had a complex international guardianship case. We had alot of questions that required many phone calls and emails.
