Go to this bagel shop when I am on the Livonia side of town I live in Highland Michigan. They’re always helpful and quick to wait on you. There’s only one thing that I would change if I was them we love the everything bagels, but we would love less salt and more of everything else. It’s almost over power but all the salt other than that we love the place.
Best bagels in the area. We love the egg bagels and usually pick up a dozen every once in awhile. I was able to snag a batch fresh out of the oven last time we visited. So good!
Watch what u order there. Thought I was getting the Tuesday special dozen for 10 bucks but when I went to pay the price was 20 BUCKS for a dozen bagels. I couldn't just walk out while there were people waitin in line behind me so i got stuck with some expensive bagels just cause they were sticks. Been going there literally my entire life and have never felt so embarrassed and disappointed.
First time here....I got a dozen bagels today...and my favorite pumpernickel tasted day old - hard and dry. Nothing wrong with selling day old but it should be marked as day old with a price discount due to quality deteriorating after a day. It was sold to me as if it was fresh that day. Most of the other bagels were fine. But due to the fact they sold day old as fresh really puts me off buying from here again.
Good bagels. The older lady is kinda pushy and dry. I ordered 5 bagels which had to be made. She made them all without gloves. These weren’t heated after she touched them. Health dept would not allow this. Wear gloves plz and maybe I’ll come back.
I had the worst experience at my first visit to this store. If Google would let me post this with zero stars I would. There were no customers in the store when I walked in. The older woman was not welcoming and acted as if I was an inconvenience to her. She was rude during my entire interaction with her. She rushed me through my order as if there was a line of people behind me waiting to be served. I was so shocked by her attitude. It was as if she did not want customers to enter her store and give her money for her product. LOL! I thought to myself, well maybe she is just having a bad day. So I came to Google reviews to see what other people are saying about their experience. Its seems she is rude to other customers as well. I had to laugh when I left. I work in a service industry and I am not allowed to treat my customers this way, nor would I want to. I would lose business. Anyway, I will never step foot in this place again.
I am no longer a Detroit Bagel Factory customer. When the bagels are made right, they are great. Their problem is huge lack of consistency. I have had re-occurring problems including problems with my past 4 orders: burned/over cooked bagels, bagels with no seasoning left on top, small/under sized bagels, shorted a bagel or 2 in a dozen. C'mon people! How many more things can you do wrong with bagels! Employees don't pay attention to details or care enough to take ownership. Even got some attitude from a few employees when asking questions. I am back at Einstein's Bagels for their $9 Bakers Dozen Monday. Cheaper, closer, more variety.
One of the best bagels I’ve had. And great staff!! I would definitely recommend this spot!
Went on a Sunday morning and had a great bagel sandwich. I heard Detroit Bagel has been in the area for a very long time! I can see why. I saw several people coming in to get their dozen or more fix. Great variety and great customer services!
I like the bagels, but wish I didn’t have to interact with some of the staff. The one, slightly younger woman is passive aggressive and I’m sick of it. She’s actually working right now at 12pm on 1/8/23 if that narrows it down for you. Also, please stop asking personal questions. Let me pay and be on my way.
