We were there a couple of Mondays ago at 12:15 June 13. There were lineup of about 20+ people at the door. I went in to take a number, and saw there were less than 30 customers seated, maybe 6 tables. see Photo There were no less than 6 people working the front of house and 4 workers in the kitchen. So there was no shortage of staff. It took half an hour for my group to be seated and another 5 minutes before we saw our server. During the half hour wait, there must have been another 30 people came and saw the lineup then left. My steak came well done when I ordered Med/Rare. Half the orders were wrong. The rest of the food tasted like it just came out of the freezer. I would rate it zero star, but give one star because I give Denny's credit for being average usually. EDIT: The management and I were in contact and worked toward resolving the problem. For that, I have raise my rating from 1 star to 3. And review again when I have another visit.
I’ve eaten at my fair share of Denny’s and I have to say from walking in to walking out it was the best experience I can remember. The staff were very friendly and that starts the whole thing. They weren’t slammed busy but had enough people. My drinks came right away and I had enough time to look at the menu. My order was out fast in my opinion and it looked great. I had the bourbon bacon burger, fries and a Caesar salad. I know that’s not a crazy sounding meal but it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. My salad was fresh and crisp. I really enjoyed the meal and I’m pretty picky. Most Denny’s have left me hanging, but this one was a step above. The service and sincerity really made it after a great meal. Thanks to the staff I really appreciate you.
Denny's is underrated= Fast service, great food, cheap prices! And most importantly VERY consistent. Been here more then 7 times around north America and they always please me. Thanks for the staff that helped me out. If i'm ever in Penticton again, ill be going here for a bite!
Christine was our server and she was excellent. They had a great special on for bacon eggs hash browns and pancakes all for only $9.99. When we asked for toast she said there were no substitutions on the special but a side order still made it less than menu price and then she offered to get us one slice of white and one brown to accommodate us both! It was awesome and not often you get Breakfast and coffee for 2 under $30. Thanks Christine!
It was a little busy but still fast the sever is so nice and kind, I like the music
Went because I heard they do a free breakfast on the day of people's birthdays which is lovely! Waitress and hostess was kind, cheerful and helpful and the waitress even bought my coffee for me <3 Breakfast was good, a little tepid and eggs were more medium-well then soft-medium poached perhaps. Overall, though, I think considering they were short-staffed it was a very pleasant birthday experience
Fairly busy tonight and we’re short of staff, which seems to be the norm at many places. Saying all that, communication from staff greeting us and explaining time frames, etc, we had no problem waiting. We had Liz as our server, and although she was busy, she was very attentive, and you didn’t feel pressured to make a quick decision. Her friendly nature and smile along with suggestions was excellent. Although the kitchen only had two cooks, timeliness, presentation and quality of food was not sacrificed. Everything was fresh and excellent in taste.
Been coming here for years. Breakfast is what you would expect, consistent and a great value. The staff is amazing and usually goes above and beyond. Melissa is an all-star. Best server in town. Never had a bad experience here. Kid-friendliness: Kids eat free on Tuesdays.
Went to dennys for dinner with my family tonight my server was Liz she was running the show! With support from the manager Susan she made it look effortless and smooth. Bouncing from table to table smiling the whole time. We all got our food hot and tasty and my mozzarella sticks did what they only do when fresh pulled apart with cheesy strings. We had an amazing experience and will definitely be back.
I had went to Denny’s last night and the food was delicious. I had pancakes and hash browns. Everything was made to perfection. My server was Mayank, a very kind-hearted, respectful, and professional person. Thank you for your hard work ethic. I look forward to my next visit.
