This book store is a bit of a chaotic mess. There are books scattered everywhere with some categories being loosely sorted. However, the owner is very kind, talkative and accommodating. New books are always coming through the door, good collection of older hard covers and the pricing is amongst the best in Toronto often paying half or a third of what I usually do when I look for older books in bulk. Overall one of the best used bookstores in Toronto.

They are closing in the next 6 months and have started their clearance sale. All soft covers are $2 and hardcovers are $3, no matter their size! The owner is very laid back, friendly, and knowledgeable in his books. My sister and I bought around 30-40 books today for our schools and some personal and it came out to $80! I'm sure he rounded down to the nearest tens for us, which was very kind of him. He said he will be bringing out more stock every weekend for the next few months. Seems like my sister and I have found a new weekend routine till summer

Over 50 years. Toronto's oldest used bookstore. Great books all over the place. It's fun to look around. The owner is a great guy who loves to talk but he will gladly let you look around. I heard that he may be closing. This is sad. Decan bookstore will be missed.

This place is chaotic and authentic. It's about the owner. Have a conversation ask opinions. It might not look like much. It might be judged as poorly organized and dusty. If you don't want dusty plies of books curated by a slightly eccentric older gentleman with wide ranging knowledge of books then don't come. I for one enjoy the experience.

Incredible store. Unbelievable selection at low prices. No more clutter or dust. Really transformed the look without sacrificing great atmosphere. If you've never been there you're missing a great experience. The owner is an amazing guy.

Best book store ever. Super old, everything is like 70% off, amazing and cultured selection of books. A must visit.

I fell in love with this book store a few years ago it's Unique and peaceful the owner of the store is a very knowledgeable patient peaceful man I enjoy the conversations I've had with him and the small words of encouragement has stuck with me throughout the years since I've had the pleasure of meeting him

I went there looking for several books and had two people helping me find things. Best book store experience ever by far!
