Story

Debbie Lee Dance Company, formerly DNC Dance Nouveau Co. is a Vancouver, British Columbia based educational and training organization that is dedicated to the classical, cultural and contemporary performing dance arts at all levels of learning. The programs are dedicated to providing progressive training to a diversity of students and ages of individuals, whether it be for recreation to pre-professional or professional. The school and faculty is dedicated to providing a strong foundation of physical training, artistic guidance and mentorship plus developing each student to be a well rounded and balanced individual. Our programs stresses proper safe dance techniques to build physical strength while developing and allowing each student to explore their artistic creative intellectual expression and thinking.
Each eager and keen student has the opportunity to be a part of a small class that is focused, disciplined and progressive atmosphere where we can help develop, inspire and provide excellence to the art form. In addition to having the opportunity to have our training facilities in Vancouver’s Kitsilano District for our outreach community programs, we are very proud and privileged to be able to train out of the state-of-the-art facilities where we call home, The Scotia Bank Dance Centre – The Dance Centre, Yaletown downtown Vancouver. Students are able to be actively supporting and be a part of our growing artistic creative community.

In performing dance-arts, we believe as artists and educators it is our commitment and purpose to keep our art form alive by providing a fun, nurturing, creative yet professional atmosphere. With this belief and a carefully designed high technical standards of training, plus providing opportunities of public exposure in challenging environments, it will allow each and every individual to embrace; provide appreciation; develop respect; develop creative thinking;understand and inspire quality and excellence to our art form.
With our commitment and dedication to this philosophy, we hope to manifest these qualities and educate, guide, and provide passion to our desires, to a diversity of students, artists, and our audiences .
