Deb's Gas Bar & Restaurant

Great steak and eggs. The steak was perfectly cooked the way I wanted it. Staff are friendly and polite. I don't smoke but there is smoking allowed in this restaurant.

Debs is a wonderful place to eat. Theur burgers are home made, their fish and chips are amazing. Bring an appetite and a little cash. Usually we have a burger and share the fries and our coffee for 17.00. Today we each had the haddock fish and chips and coffee. Cost 18.00. 7.50 for each huge platter. ! I highly recommend it!

Often very crowded and tables are really close. Service is quite slow and there is no real separation between smoking and non smoking areas. Food is good and we'll priced.

Food was okay, but I won't be back. I stepped over into what I guessed was the restaurant section, and found no instructions as to how seating worked. So I waited for an employee so that I could make eye contact with them so I could ask. The first two ignored me. The second one came back and curtly showed me where the non-smoking tables were. The menu is written quite vaguely, so I ordered a hamburger but then asked what a Banquet Burger was. I changed my order to that (plus no tomatoes) but... what came was a plain burger with a tomato. I asked them to remove the tomato (I did see "no tom" was written on the original slip) but I didn't notice there was no cheese or bacon on the burger ("banquet") until the last 1/3 of the burger, and I hadn't seen the waitress since her first check-in with me. I was charged for the banquet burger, but after having it take 5 mins to bring me my bill, I didn't feel like waiting to contest the bill amount. I had to assume, too, that I had to pay at the gas station counter, where I was given no opportunity to include a tip with my debut amount, so.... I guess the bacon/cheese that I paid for and didn't receive will have to suffice. I am sorry about that, but... the service was awful.
