Tried a new breakfast/brunch spot on Canada Day. Deacons is located on outskirts of Gastown. Restaurant is a hidden gem. First the restaurant is very clean. Considering the area, floors are clean and tables sanitized. They even put a sanitized sticker on the tables for your peace of mind. Great touch. And decor was amazing with a lot of old signs to see. Service was also fantastic. Everyone was friendly and helpful and all had a smile on their faces. You couldn't help feeling upbeat. Food was amazing. I had the pull pork pancakes. The pull pork was moist even though it look dry and a bit sweet. Worked well with the pancakes and eggs. We also had the beef burger which came on a artisan bun. The bun put the burger over the top on flavourful. My son loved it. Also ordered the chicken biscuit gravy. Lots of gravy, chicken was tender, overall great select. Big helping on the food, we'll worth the price! I must add that if the food item has a choice of small or large, pick the small. Definitely a favorite of ours now. We'll be back to try other items like French toast. Give Deacons Corner a try, you won't be disappointed!

This is the best diner I’ve hit in Vancouver so far. The atmosphere is everything you want it to be in a diner: cozy, warm, the smell of pancakes and coffee, and lots of great diner decor without being tacky. Service was exceptional- they came by to fill water and coffee 3 or 4 times during our 45 min brunch. Prices are reasonable, however they have a great option to get a small or large sized meal for many dishes about a $3 difference. Lastly, these were hands down the best pancakes I’ve ever had… Would definitely recommend this place. I’ll be back on many raining winter days

Came here for a Sunday brunch with family and got three entrees to share. Was busy but got a comfy booth right away. Everything from the classic breakfast, to avocado eggs benny and pancakes were fresh and tasty. Nice ambiance with retro decor and fair prices. Friendly, hardworking staff. Would definitely recommend.

Great Foods very friendly staff. Location is kind of cheap. In the middle of downtown where there is a lot of bumps but the owners have done as best as they could with this place. I would come back

Woohoo yummy Haven’t been here in a while. Me and my girls had a good time at Deacons. Good food , friendly and good service. We always enjoy our time and food at Deacons. It’s close to walk there too. Be back soon for my farmer’s scramble ‍

Teresa and the staff here are amazing. Great hospitality, amazing food, and comfortable atmosphere. Fried Chicken Benny's and the French Toast are amazing! Highly Recommended!

Delicious, great value for a conventional style breakfast. Loved the atmosphere of this diner. A bit of a gem in GasTown. Great service. No wait when coming on a Saturday at 10:30am. I highly recommend this spot, lots of options on the menu.

Old school diner décor with friendly staff complete with red booth tables. It’s a pretty spacious restaurant. There is decently priced parking nearby I think it was around $2/hour, meter parking that is within a 5 min walk from the restaurant. It is a slightly sketchy area though. MONSTROUS burger with 2pc of fried chicken and Chipotle mayo. They only use chicken breast so it can get a tad dry. I also liked their buttermilk biscuit, served with sausage gravy and more chicken. Definitely super filling. Bonus points for having milk alternatives available with the coffee. My order: Chicken Giant Burger $19.75 Chicken & Biscuits w/ Gravy $16 Coffee

Zero wait on a late Monday morning. Food was incredible, especially the French toast, which was the best I've ever had. Service was stellar! We live in Seattle but will be coming back to this place every time we're in the area. Glad we found it :

Food was good, place looked good and service was good. Not much more you can ask for. The poutine was amazing though the chicken was pretty average, though did it's job. The cookies were also just good enough to justify the "wow" on the price tag
