We did a 3 night stay here Sept 30-Oct 3rd. Excellent location 2 block walk to cruise port, half kilometer walk to shopping on Robson, access to whatever you need 5 minutes away. The room was small, which we knew going in, but if you're just using it as a place to sleep you will be fine. The restaurant had great food and has a projector screen if you're a sports enthusiast. Continental breakfast was decent. We would stay here again.
I normally don't write reviews, but I feel the need to warn people to stay away. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a smell of urine/mold/sweat. The smell was everywhere, including our room. I tried putting deodorant on my upper lip to mask the smell but it didn't work. We ended up moving rooms the next night because it was so strong. The new room smelled better, but it was still noticeable. There were bugs in both rooms, a long black hair on the "clean" towel, the shower sounded like Satin. The whole place seemed really old and dark and in need of a makeover. The staff was friendly though and it was good walking distance to the cruise port. Sorry for the bad review, just being honest.
For a quick stay/a place to sleep, it's a good deal. In a great location, close to Waterfront, has heating as well as AC. The breakfast included is decent - croissants, scones, muffins, boiled eggs, bagels, toast, cereal, coffee and some milk alternatives. The bathroom probably needs to get renovated, but everything is clean. I might not choose to stay here if I were stopping over for holidays, but for a place to stay for a night or two, it's perfect.
We were left stranded at the Vancouver airport at midnight because our original hotel double booked our room. After I called a dozen hotels, this hotel had 1 room left and the lovely gentleman working the front desk held it for us, as promised on the phone I wish I knew his name!. We were so grateful to not sleep in the airport! The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Great location close to the train.
Just...do not stay here if you value cleanliness. The photos of the rooms are misleading, they add extra images of stuff that isn't in the room. The rooms are very small. The place is disgusting. There was a bunch of hair under the blankets, I don't think they washed the sheets after the last guest. The bathroom had mold in the cracks of the shower, and the towels were dirty. The heater made a weird crackling sound the entire night. The building also stank. Good location and friendly staff, though
The room was ok, I mean it's not a 5 star place. It was good enough for my stay. They could improve the place by fixing the washroom. They need to be updated. The drain for the bathtub wasn't working so well, it took a while to clear. The bed was comfortable, and the staff was kind. Location is in the heart of downtown near shops. Waterfront station is also nearby which is ideal for travelling to the airport. The price was good and that's why I booked here.
The Hotel offered us what we expected, cleanliness and tranquility, we stayed for 6 nights and we were happy. Taking a bath was the most restorative part of the day, the pressure and temperature of the water incredible. I thank Richard who checked us in, he showed himself to be proactive and helped us solve a problem with our dryness in the App.
The location was good for the price, but the rooms are very dated and need an overhaul. The bathroom in our room was in pretty rough shape but the bed was incredibly comfortable and the breakfast that was included was really nice too. Overall I would stay here again.
Booked here for over the weekend - two rooms. Both rooms have shower heads that are so low that if you’re a 5’5 or shorter king, you’ll feel tall. Mattress are most definitely worn out, pillows look like decorative pillows that have no filling there’s no extra pillows or towels in the room. My accessibility friends- you will most likely have the elevator breakdown 3-4 times, so be aware.
5 stars Wonderful service. Receptionist great! Room nice and clean. Breakfast fantastic! They had everything for breakfast. I highly recommend. If I ever go to Vancouver my number place to stay. Thank you for the great service.Rooms: 5/5
