Dawns Early Rising Sunshine Cafe and Bistro

After my experience at this restaurant, I was compelled to write a review. First off I worked for years in a breakfast restaurant so I know how insanely busy it can get. However the LAST thing your waitresses should do when your slammed, is completely ignore the tables and or be down right rude to customers. After our 1hour 20 minute wait for our food, and the waitress ignoring us, she had tables walking out. Once we got our food, she very rudely blamed us for coming in at a time when it was so busy! The food was really not that great. It looked thrown on the plate, the portions were tiny and it tasted like pure salt. I couldn't finish it because it was so salty. Luckily your younger lady waitress working the counter was quite nice when she processed our bill. She was very sympathetic and had lovely customer service skills. I would recommend you have all your waitresses train off of the nice younger one. 5 star review for her.

food was great-we had the borscht soup and a fantastic salad, a craving that was satisfied after a week's camping. Service was friendly. The owner Tom gave us some helpful tips about our camper. This place is very cute with 3 outdoor sitting areas, AND a pool table inside. Highly recommended

Honestly, I heard great things about this place from locals so I WANTED to check it out but, from the look of the front windows, with heavy blinds drawn all day and no cars in parking lot, I thought it had either moved or gone out of business. (Holidays maybe?) These website photos are the first time I have actually seen it with blinds open, people in it and their OPEN sign clearly lit up. If it is still open, then they really need to make it visibly obvious from the highway as you don't have a lot of time in morning traffic to decide to pull in. The low stars given here are me pouting from all those mornings I drove past when I could have had their apparently 5 star rated grub. ; ) Just gimme a chance to add those 3 missing stars guys!

Kind service, amazing food. Highly recommend for out of towners! Review given by 3 kids age ranges 10-14. Oh and you have to have a cinnamon bun.
