Consistently the best fine dining in London. The changing menu is fantastic with new things to try. Wine list is extensive and actually reasonable which is hard to find in a restaurant of this level. Family owned, unique and local. Always our go-to for special occasion dinners.
Came in for my mom’s 50th birthday. I had high expectations because of the reviews and they blew it out of the water. Food was phenomenal, the Scallop and Risotto was our favourite but everything was great. The boar was cooked perfectly, very tender, and the sauce and veggies were a delight. The dessert and appetizers was very well balanced and delicious actually everything was well balanced and thoughtfully prepared. Everything was also well portioned and the atmosphere of the space very much enhanced the experience. If we’re ever back in the area we will be sure to visit again.
I still am thinking/drooling about the green garlic sauce from the gnocchi & lamb appetizer, and the wine selection was wonderful with excellent suggestions from staff based on our wine preferences. The boar was cooked perfectly, and the jus was divine. We will absolutely be back for more, and hope to try everything the menu has to offer, as well as new seasonal additions. A perfect date night restaurant, with great ambience and, most importantly, impeccable food!
All I can say is what a hidden gem, the food was extraordinary I had the priest fix and for that price you can’t go wrong. Their menu looks delectable as well, My waiter was great at his job, and made great suggestions. I will definitely be returning numerous times. They also have something called trust me, which apparently after you’ve been there a couple of times you tell them I trust you and they will cook you up a two or three course meal depending on what you prefer and surprise you, what a great idea after my second or third time there I will definitely do so. The wine list is extensive, with great pairings. I gave this restaurant five stars plus plus plus. Well I’ve now eaten at David’s Bistro 11 times since my first review and I have yet to be disappointed in any part of there service ,Food , and atmosphere. Another wonderful experience, thank you very much David and Natalie, and Ryan.
Delightful downtown spot with a charming ambiance and great food. The shrimp and bacon pasta was the star here - these shrimp were so massive I thought they were crawfish at first! Very reasonable price/quality ratio.Recommended dishesDuck Confit, Escargot
Amazing! My husband picked this for dinner with my mom's surprise trip into town. We will be back to try more itmes. Everything was amazing. Service was great. Didn't feel rushed and was able to enjoy every bite of food!
Outstanding experience. David was our server and he was fantastic. Just warm, extremely nice person. He perfectly paired every course with wines from around the world. Food was prepared perfectly, tasted phenomenal, and modified without issue to accommodate a dairy allergy. The busy yet relaxing vibe was exactly what we were looking for. Next time we are back in town this is a guaranteed stop for dinner. Highly recommend you do too!
I had a great experience at David’s. It took me longer than it should have to try this great gem. Now that I have it’s definitely one of the top restaurants on my list for London. Everything tasted Amazing and the service was excellent. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you.
Best spot in London Ontario. Amazing ambiance, delicious food and very friendly staff. Natalie went above and beyond to make sure we got a bit of everything we liked! Modified the menu to our likings and preferences. Beautiful penmanship on the menu’s as they are hand written by her. I asked her about the paintings she had on display and she mentioned they were from a local artist whom they support. Wide variety of wine selection, good portions dishes and desserts. mouth watering lamb shank my personal favourite, mushroom Risotto and garlic mashed potatoes that my 6 month old enjoyed. Thankyou for the amazing experience.
Our couples evening to celebrate a birthday was worth the reservation and time spent. Our guests had never been here and it was definitely worth introducing them to this gem. We all were delighted by David’s service and the food did not disappoint in any way. We enjoyed every from the wine selection through to the dessert course.
