This thoughtful design added to the overall experience, making it even more memorable.nnRoom for ImprovementnnWhile our experience inside the restaurant was flawless, the surrounding area felt a bit off-putting. The streets outside were noticeably dirty, and we felt slightly unsafe as we arrived. It’s surprising that such a beautiful and well-run establishment is situated in this particular location, as it feels out of place. That said, once inside, all concerns melted away, and the restaurant provided a stunning escape.nnOverallnnDamas is a culinary gem that offers an authentic and unforgettable Syrian dining experience. The exceptional food, attentive service, and vibrant ambiance are unmatched. Despite the challenges with the surrounding area, we will undoubtedly be returning to this fantastic restaurant. Absolutely delicious from start to finish!

We came here for our one year anniversary! The experience is amazing!! Never had Syrian food before so we did the tasting menu. Unfortunately my husband had to drive so we didn’t do the cocktail pairing. We loved majority of dishes on the tasting menu. We would love to come back again when we visit Montreal next time!

Came here on visit from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. The entire service staff was amazing, with a very intentional flow, and an attention to the guest experience that made them really stand out. The tasting menu is a must, and definitely get the wine paring with it. Patrick, our waiter, was there every time we wanted him to be, with an unforgettable smile and charm. John, the sommelier, is the best one we’ve experienced. Highly knowledgeable about all things wine and pairing but also very personable. He brought a magic to the whole experience that left us simultaneously more knowledgeable about wine, but also feeling more confident in our own ability to judge and experience. This will be a regular stop whenever we come to Montreal. Worth every $$$$

The restaurant was beautiful. The service was incredible. And the food was absolutely amazing. Our server made a few recommendations and was very honest when he thought we might be ordering too much. He was spot on with the dishes he told us to try and with the number of plates we should get.nnThe cocktails were fantastic - very fresh and refreshing. The desserts were super unique—you just save some space for them!

Damas offers incredible Syrian cuisine with flavors that truly stand out. The grilled meats were perfectly seasoned, and the mezze were fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was top-notch. I can’t recommend it enough, definitely one of the best dining experiences in Montreal!
