An amazing experience. Came in due to ingrown toenails and got permanent surgery. Totally worth it and if I had to go back and do it again I would 100% come back to the same place. The staff are very friendly and Dr. Russell was very knowledgeable and kind. Any questions were quickly answered and you are given the solution. It is very clear that Dr. Russell is very knowledgeable in the field. The surgery was quick and so far everything is healing perfectly. The surgery and aftercare that were received were 10/10. The pain was immediately gone after. Would 100% recommend this clinic and doctor to anybody needing the same thing done or for anything else of the same nature.
Had two ingrown toenails that have been causing me pain for years, finally removed by Dr Russell. He’s and absolute professional: it was clean, painless and quick. 3 weeks down and the recovery has been going great. The office staff has been consistent with communication and I’ve had no issue talking to anyone whenever I needed to call them.
I came to the clinic based on the reviews and wasn’t disappointed. I had the same procedure done twice already years ago with different providers and didn’t have a positive experience, so I was really nervous. The whole team is AMAZING. Dr. Russell is fantastic and his team made me feel really comfortable, looked after and prepared for after care instructions. Definitely recommend this clinic!
I have suffered with an ingrown toenail on my big toe for years. I put it off after seeing some that have had surgery and limped around for what seemed like weeks. I googled foot clinics and the closest one to me had horrible reviews. The next one on the list was Dr. Russell. I made an appointment and the receptionist said there is a good chance the doctor would be able to fix it the same day. I felt at ease as soon as I walked in and was greeted. Staff were very personable and Dr. Russell was both professional and treated me like family. He immediately recognized my problem toe and also some issues with my other foot. No pressure but he said he could take care of it right then and there. I was walking with no pain in my street shoes right after the surgery. When the freezing wore off, to my disbelief I was still in no pain whatsoever. The next day and onward I was walking the dog ~5km a day. Following his guidelines, no pain, no infection and full recovery in three weeks. I know where I will be going if I have another foot issue - and so should you.
Dr. Russell is a rock star! I mean it. I am a healthcare professional and he rocks. For 30 years, I've had foot issues and have seen 3 pedorthists and they all missed my Morton's Toes. Dr. Russell took one look and diagnosed both feet within seconds. His x-rays confirmed. He has saved my life. I wouldn't be able to walk without his brilliance, his knowledge, his warmth, and care. I wish someone had recommended Dalhousie Foot Clinic to me sooner! I've been dealing with an infected in-grown toe nail for months, my quality of life wasn't amazing and as much as my family doctor tried, it just wasn't getting any better. I went to Dalhousie Foot Clinic terrified of what the doctor would say. I was scared for absolutely no reason at all! Dr. Russell and his team were AMAZING!! I voiced my concerns, I'm a flight attendant and am on my feet for sometimes 14 hours a day and was worried I would have to take time off for recoveryI was back to work not even 24 hours after the procedureI'm also scared of needles and they reassured me that I wouldn't feel much when the needles happenedwhich I didn't and when it came to the procedure itself, I had no idea it even happened until I was told it was over! I didn't feel a thing! I highly recommend making an appointment, and if you have hesitations like I did, please don't! Dalhouise Station Foot Clinic literally gave me my life back and I will be forever grateful!
I procrastinated for about a year about seeing someone about the ingrown nail on my big toe. Finally after a couple painful self surgeries went to see Dr. Russell and had it surgically cut back. It was painless and like a miracle cure, so if your sitting on the fence about treatment, "get after it". Its not that bad at all and the change in lifestyle is amazing.
After months of dealing with the pain of Plantar Fascitis, trying to fix it with both physiotherapy and chiropractic treatments, with no success. In one visit I was confident that I had found the right doctor to treat my issue. Dr. Russell is very knowledgeable, approachable and patient. Initially he provided me with a pain relief solution and conducted a thorough examination. It was found that custom orthotics could help solve my issue. The orthotics were very quick to arrive and I went in for a follow-up visit to have them fit to my shoes. My feet feel incredible now! I no longer experience pain and can walk comfortably. I strongly recommend Dr. Russell, both he and his staff are such a pleasure to deal with. My issue was heard and taken seriously, a plan was implemented correctly and quickly and now I feel amazing.
My insurance policy was expiring soon but the clinic staff worked their best to help me get my orthotics and schedule an urgent appointment with Dr Russell right before the insurance expiry date. Without their help, I would have paid out of pocket 100% for the orthotics. Dr Russell and clinic staff are very professional and helpful. They gave me useful information whenever I needed them. The orthotics are great. They are very comfy.
During my first visit for Dr Ian Russell to assess my two-toenail fungus, I am surprised by his recommendation that laser surgery was not necessary; and instead recommended a six month of prescribed medication with 20 days on, 10 days off; and to wear NON-COTTON socks, and to wear alternate shoes for each day. Acting on his recommendation and procedures to the letter, and on my recent follow up with Dr Russell, he was surprised that all fungus has disappeared, and the toe nail recovery is complete with no further treatment needed. His treatment and processes works, and I would highly recommend Dr Ian Russell and this clinic to anyone…and be WARNED that Dr Russell and his team’s professionalism, caring and friendliness will cast onto you.
