So friendly! They really made getting ice cream special with our boys after going to the beach! And they had SpongeBob ice cream which we haven’t been able to find in NM Thank you so much to the amazing staff at Dairy Treat and we can’t wait to go back again on our next vacation back to Grand Haven
This place is the best! I have been coming here for 15 or so years, since I was a toddler! This place has some of the best ice cream and shakes out there! I really miss the days when this place was in the old, cinder block building, with the polka dots painted by the owner’s kids in the 1960s! This place brings back so many memories. If you are a tourist or a local, check this place out!
Such a large variety of ice cream treats! Staff is helpful. Seating area is clean with a dog water dish
New location same great staff. The two strawberry milk shakes wife & I had were fabulous. They give you a straw & spoon for a reason. It's thick with strawberries. Great place to park under the building. Very unique.
Don’t get a cone. The small top scoop of ice cream was the flavor I asked for, everything inside the cone was just vanilla. Not worth it.
They have two jars for tipping: one for TOURISTS with a penny in it and one for LOCALS with lots of dollars in it. The one for tourists has a note on it: "where are you from?". I find this disrespectful. I am a tourist, like 90% of their customers and I am proud of where I am from. I left no tip, and that is not because I do not usually tip, it was because I felt offended by the subtle message they are conveying with the two jars. Ice cream was mediocre. Next day went to a different place to get ice cream in Grand Haven and we were greeted to a friendlier service, but they too are tip beggars and the ice cream was exactly the same...
We always make this a last stop before we head home. They have rebuilt this and it's beautiful! Parking lot under the building is easy to get in and out of. I will keep coming here for the friendly faces and the great prices!
Famous for the Rock Pile, vanilla ice cream blended with chucks of strawberries and bananas. You can add pecans too.

What a nice stop after a hot day at the beach. The flurries and sundaes are really good and they don't gouge you on price like a couple other places in the area. The workers are incredibly friendly, so don't forget to tip! A must stop for your beach day.
