Just about my favourite place for rice noodles. Fantastic food and great service! Gotta be extra careful with the bowl, it is superrrr hot
This is the first time I visited Dagu again after pandemic. The quality is good as before! I saw from previous review that they were using plastic bowl for dine-in. This is the not the case anymore when I visited! I’ll definitely come back again.
Simple menu, we enjoy going here on cold winter days. I usually order the original crossing the bridge noodles, the broth is nice and light, not too salty. I also like the pickled cabbage fish noodles soup, this one is spicy and more salty. Their sides, the salted fried chicken bites are nice as well. Overall, great place for a quick easy meal. Prices are reasonable as well. We enjoy eating here.
Good food with generous portion and good price. Perfect for lunch on a cold day when you’re downtown Toronto. Highly recommend!
I used to love this place. The portion sizes were phenomenal, now they're mediocre at best. You do not get the raw meat and veggies trays with your soup order anymore. You only get two thin slices of ham, one very tiny white egg not quail any more, one small piece of fish cake, one sausage slice, a strand of soaked lettuce, and about 5 corn kernels. You get a much smaller portion of broth and noodles too. Overall it was a very dissapointing meal, not worth the price AT ALL. But what's worse, is that now everything they bring comes in BLACK plastic containers which go straight into the garbage and not recyclable in Toronto. So much plastic waste per meal. They say it's for covid safety, but all the had to do was properly wash dishes after each customer which I hope they were previously doing and this would be satisfied as per the lipid envelope of the virus. Soap/detergents disrupt this envelope and render the virus harmless, hence why it's so important to wash our hands. It's a disgrace what has happened to this location. Will no longer be coming nor recommending it. If you've got an interest in supporting and protecting the environment and sustainability, DO NOT support this place.
If you plan on eating here, look at the later reviews, as this place has gone downhill since the pandemic. Even with dine-in, everything is served in plastic bowls and utensils are all single-use plastic. One dish was literally served on a plastic take-out lid. I don’t know about you, but I do not want to consume hot liquid from a plastic container, let alone all the unnecessary plastic waste created, when reusable plate ware could be used. Now the food is also subpar; minimal amount of meat for the price. I wouldn’t support a restaurant that can’t give the bare minimum effort for their customers nor environment.
My first time in this restaurant, service was good. The attendants were friendly and gave good advice on the meals and drinks. Price is right.Food: 5/5
Fantastic soup Too much constant noise from the blender Cleanliness is not the priority. Bathrooms had no tissue paper and clean. They clean the tables with reusable wipes and when you sit down at the table smells like the cleaning products. When they bring the sticks and spoons they leave them on the table. They do not provide enough napkins.
When this place first opened it was always packed to the walls. The food was great and I was a repeat customer. Slowly over time the customers have stopped coming and I wondered why. Now I know. Last couple of times I've been back the food has been lackluster to say the least and the service has been underwhelming. Poor service included mopping right beside customers near the end of the night with the bleach smell so overwhelming it frankly made me want to stop eating. Additionally this time today was the biggest dissapointment. They advertise unlimited noodles which I've always asked for before, so I asked and the server told us we have to finish the entire meal and we can't take any left overs home if we ask for extra noodles... What? Why offer that as an option if you're going to tell the customers how to eat their food? Don't offer unlimited noodles then if you're going to be cheap!? Won't be going back and it seems like the majority of customers agree, it's mostly empty. Such a shame.
Fast and efficient service and food. Came here for lunch and it was quick and easy. Will be coming back for sure!
