I ordered the butter chicken, plain basmati rice and two garlic naan, as well as a mango lassi. Price was cheaper than other Indian restaurants in the area and the portion sizes were impressive! Photo posted was after I ate a few servings. My online order was ready in about 10-15 minutes and was the perfect temperature to dive right in. The garlic naan was delicious, the chicken was moist and the sauce was thick and well seasoned. I wasn’t a huge fan of the flavour of the butter chicken personally but I think everyone should give Dawaat a try for themselves!
Ordered 1 daal Tarka, naan and rotis for lunch. Was incredibly disappointed by the taste of the daal tarka as the daal looked and tasted extraordinarily bland. Their quality has definitely dropped as the number of customers has increased. stay away!Food: 1/5
picked up 2 items: Chicken 65 dry - it's simply Chicken fried in oil and dumped in a box. Chef needs help. Rating - 0 out of 5. Hyderabad Dum Biryani was ok. I would rate it at 3 out of 5. have also had Chana - Bhatura from them which is nice, gets a 4 out of 5.
I love to order from here initially because its value for money and good in quality but today when We ordered 10 samosa from here I am surprised how the resturant is decreased in quality standards. You can see size of samosa oh sorry baby samosa , I used to buy from here but seems like they are not able to keep there brand value just wanna give advise to management it's not about size of product how you are lacking in quality and quantity standards with time that's an issue. You can see big brands which grow with time tim hortons Mac Donald's they keep there value don't reduce standards to half or even less hope you guys understand.
Food is awesome, I wouldn’t hesitate to say this is one of the best restaurant for authentic Indian cuisine in Ontario. I am a vivid traveler and have tried many Indian restaurants in USA & Canada, but Daawat is outstanding for their food quality, hygiene and consistency in maintaining the taste of food. I hardly write reviews but couldn’t able to resist to appreciate the hardwork of Daawat Chefs and Staffs. Highly recommended….!!!!!
Delicious Dum Biryani and excellent customer service. I highly recommend the biryani. We ordered mutton and paneer biryani along with other dishes. They need to work on the salt level, the potato stuffed masala dosa had no or less salt and the chicken 65 was too salty.
Tried different varieties of food every thing is tasty even their sambhar is also good but their dosa is okok Their briyani and main course vegetables are really yummy
A great find! We ordered Daawat special chicken dum Biryani and Chilli Chicken. From my taste and experience from restaurants around GTA and Hamilton, I think the Biryani was one of the best I tasted so far. Close to Hyderabadi dum Biryani, but different and packed with dum chicken, chicken 65, and eggs. Chilli Chicken was equally awesome. A must try! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian north and south Indian menus are available. Parking: Plenty of parking available.
First time ordering here. Portions are very good. Looked fresh as well but I was turned off when I saw a long strand of hair in the biryani while getting a spoonful. Lost my appetite real quick. Wasn't able to taste the rest of the orders. Maybe next time I'll try again and hopefully doesnt get the same experience as today.
Delicious food! Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because you now pay more for less. I always ordered from here through Skip The Dishes but last night when I ordered, I noticed some items went up in price around $2 each and they didn't offer the free naan or rice option with the entree anymore so that is really unfortunate because now not only do you pay more for the entree, you get less stuff with it which does not make sense. I ended up paying $100 last night, when I've ordered almost the same amount in the past and paid $60 I ordered 2 extra items yesterday which should've been extra $25 making my total $85 yet I paid $15 more because of all the inflated prices.
