I must say that this was a great experience. I purchased a 2015 Ram C/V. There were a couple issues with the van when Doug junior dropped it off to me. He promised to have them delt with and he did. He went out of his way to deliver the van to me in Halifax so I wouldn't have to make the full trip to Amherst. I would totally trust to buy another vehicle from him again and definitely recommend him to anybody.
Treats me like a king promptservice no administration fees decisions on purchases are made on the spot by the two dougs and your on your way with a super deal and warranty if you wish for miles of trouble free driving
***scammer alert*** This is one of the worst experiences I have had with a well established company. I rented a man lift from them. There was no contact, nothing formal. I hesitated at the way the wanted to do everything in such an unprofessional way but I rented this machine. After having it the one day I originally planned I called Doug and told him I did not want the machine for another day but would like it for a few hours. I did not hear from them all the next day or until late the following day. I went in to see about the bill and was told I was going to be billed for three days. I explained to Doug jr that I did not feel this was correct as I expected them to collect the machine in the afternoon of the second day. He said come back on Monday to sort it out with old Doug. Then as soon as I left he billed my credit card for 1667$. He got this number by adding charges that were never disclosured. It took six visits and a dozen phone calls to finally get to talk to old Doug. He told me that if I wanted to rent something else he would give me a deal on that to make it right. I am sure he knew that I would not rent from them again that or he knew this was a meaningless gesture as he would just try to rip me off next deal too. I thought about letting the credit card company remove the charge as it was originally flagged as fraudulent due to processing it without me there or my premission. I am posting this as a general out line of the business. Doug jr has to run everything through his father and was unable to answer even the simplest of questions. If you buy a car from these people do your homework and check the contract carefully. They do not have your best interest in mind.
bought a vehicle from here. they will tell you whatever they need to to get a car off the lot. they greased up a shifter so it would shift smoothly long enough to get it off the lot. ended up costing me over $300. needed window switches and they said they would get them for me. never did get them even after i stopped in a couple times. better off buying a private sale, it'll be cheaper and most likely less chance of being ripped off
Kept getting denied everywhere else for a credit building loan and Doug helped me finance a decent used car for a price I could afford needed a new taillight and they got it for me within a few weeks of my purchase and other than now needing an oil change and some minor fix-up work it's been a decent car so far people need to realise this is a used car lot and it's not the dealers responsibility to put all brand new parts on a used car as with anything else if you want to protect yourself buy a warrenty I found these guys excellent to deal with and they got me rolling within three days if go back and buy another one
