EXCELLENT Customer Service and Generac Unit.  This company knows how to service the public starting with the your first point of contact: Renée. She is friendly, efficient, organized, and professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills.  I hope the company realizes what an asset she is, as she is the FACE to Howell Electric for the consumer. The quotation process and installation went very smoothly and handled by professional, courteous staff.  Very impressed with our installation team. We purchased an 18kW unit which is a large investment and had such a positive experience. Howell managed the logistics with Enbrige Gas to install a larger meter which we did not have to coordinate. It was ready well before the Generac arrived. The very well spoken young lad explained the hookup in the basement next to our electrical panel and the weekly 'run' of the Generac which he set according to our day/time of the week. Highly recommend this company.

Having got fed up with the various Hydro One outages last year we approached D.R. Howell and a few other competitors for pricing on a standby Generac generator. Right from the get-go I was impressed with the service and follow up of D.R. Howell and despite of the fact they have an unprecedented backlog of work their coordinator, Renée Vokey, always got back to me in a timely manner to address questions I had and kept me updated on both the arrival of the generators to their shop supply chain delays! and the installation date. The install crew, lead by Shane, were very courteous and completed their work within the allotted time and left a clean work area. I would have no problem in letting others know that they should definitely include D. R. Howell Electric when looking for information and / or pricing on a standby generator.

We had the pleasure of using D.R. Howell Electric before when we built our custom home, so it was an easy decision to contact them again when we opted to add the 18kW Generac Whole Home Generator. Renee is an absolutely fantastic person to deal with; she is organized and planned the entire project efficiently.  The on site inspections, quote, meter exchange and day of install were all handled professionally and with clear information to us as the homeowners. The install crew were friendly, knowledgeable and extremely respectful inside and outside our home - they even made sure that the generator was not only set up properly but that it looked aesthetically pleasing as well. I was given a full walk through of the generator before they left and all of my questions were answered in easy to understand context. We were thoroughly impressed from start to finish and will continue to recommend this team for any of your electrical/generator needs!

I contacted D.R. Howell to enquire about having a Generac Generator installed at my house. Right from the first person I spoke to, Renée, who answered all my initial questions, to Greg, who came to my house to do a full evaluation of any requirements and placement of the generator, to the three technicians who installed the transfer switch and generator, I knew   I was working with informed professionals. D.R. Howell installed our Generac home generator in Jan. 2022. It took me over a year to write a review but I had to do it. I got quotes from many companies but D.R. Howell was the only one with a fair quote and full knowledge of equipment. Not cheap, not expensive, fair! From the moment of contact to completion of installation, they were courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I highly recommend D.R. Howell Electrical for any work you need done!

We recently had D.R. Howell install a Generac standby 14 kw generator at our home.  They came highly recommended from several of our neighbours.  They provided a detailed installation proposal with several options for us to consider and their pricing was very competitive vs. other suppliers.    From the initial site visit through to the final installation every step was very completed in a professional manner by knowledgeable staff.   We are extremely glad that we selected D.R. Howell for our generator installation.  We would highly recommend them to anyone.

DR Howell were recommended by a neighbor boy am I glad I had them install my 22kw generac,  Greg and Renee who did the scheduling were fantastic. Shane the electrician was awesome he really knows his stuff. The whole process from the quote to scheduling to the installation was seamless. Being a former hydro lineman I truly believe no other electrician could have done as good and tidy of an installation. If anyone is looking for a generator install I would be calling DR Howell first

Pleased with the professionalism of the D.R. Howell Electric company. We reach out to several manufacturers in our area for a complete house solutions. We received numerous statements to the effect that Covid-19 was a challenge and that we would have to pre-order for a site install many months down the road. Dean of DR Howell Electric visited our home and provided some insight into the process and what to expect in the way of timelines. We settled on a 20KW unit that would provide suitable coverage for both the house and our back shop. The install was flawless, clean and shows well. We where instructed on the basic functions of the Generac unit and where assisted in setting up the  remote app which shows active status and historical logs. Our quote from  DR Howell Electric was competitive, firm and without surprises. We where kept well informed on the process of our installation request, they showed up when they say they would, not an easy task when you have many moving parts to an install. 5 Stars!

We decided to purchase a Generac system following the long outage in the spring of 2022. Howell Electric was our choice because of the professionalism and care they demonstrated through the entire process: from initial contact through to the completed project Howell kept us informed, did exactly what and when they said they'd do it, and worked diligently to ensure our needs were met. The final installation and hook-up were meticulous. Overall a top-notch job.  Renee and the gang at Howell Electric are first-rate and are Highly Recommended.

Last June get got installed a Generac 18KW Guardian generator. Dean took his time to find the better way to do the installation, impacting my house as little as possible both structurally and aesthetically. We had no chance yet to test it during a blackout but scheduled test run as planned. Renee kindly have promptly answer all the question that we had after the installation. We are very please with the service of D.R. HOWELL ELECTRIC INC. have given us so far.
