This campground is private, spacious, and quiet. I wish we had more nights here but of course I'm thankful to even get one! It books up so fast. Be prepared to book months in advance to try to get 1 night here! Our campsite has no electricity or water hook up. It has enough room to fit a trailer pull through and a really nice tent area under the trees. Bathroom is very far away, but it's massive with a modern, clean look. Be prepared to drive to it unless you're up for a walk.
We stayed at the Tamarack Campground site 215. This was one of the bigger sites and was very private. There wasn’t that many trees but we could barely see our neighbours because all the sites were very spaced out. The site was very clean, came with 2 picnic tables with a big fire pit. There are no bathrooms or showers at this campground so you have to walk to the other camp ground to use those facilities. Very close walk to the grotto and other scenic attractions. Overall, it was an amazing campground/camp site with fantastic hikes and scenic views. Also a great place for star gazing if you walk up to the boardwalk by the lake.
Dark damp campsites in the Birches all cramped together. Beautiful washroom facilities however no hot water and minimal water pressure. The trailer dumping station has to be seen to be believed, the design and set up are a mess. The best thing is the staff, gorgeous visitor centre and beautiful trails.
Great location, multiple access to Cyprus Lake and Georgian Bay shore. Lots of bathrooms and water stations, staff is really nice and helpful. However, this place is not for you if you want to experience a quiet environnement. Campsites are really close and there is a lot of family and sometimes they don't respect the policy of no excessive noise. Someone did a 2h violin pratice next to my spot and it was a bit annoying ^^ I would recommend this place if you want to be in less than 10min of everything but there is other alternatives around Bruce Peninsula Park that are also very good and quiet!
Almost 4-5 hours drive from Toronto. 3 hours drive from Barrie. Campground staff was courteous. Campsite was very spacious yet private. We went in the middle of May. Not many people. Several trails leading to the Grotto. Georgian Bay trail is one of the easier trails - wide and not much of a hike to the Grotto. Views at Grotto are stunning.
We enjoyed camping at Cyprus lake. Everyone seemed to follow the quiet hours. The trailer sites were nice, but offered not a ton of privacy, but better than other places we've been. The little beach was very nice. Just in general, very enjoyable trip. The sunsets were beautiful
Right inside the Bruce Peninsula great campground has its own little trails and grants you parking at multiple spots such as the halfway log dump , singing sands and the visitor center, it grants you access to the grotto too but you can walk from your campsite to the grotto. Loved this place we'll definitely be back again.
This campground is the nicest campground I've ever stayed at. The sites are beautiful and much more private than I expected. It's easy to hike and swim at indian head for the day and the staff is amazing. We're already planning out next trip!
Really well kept grounds. The wood they sold me was soo wet that it had mold on it. I’ve gotten bad wood at other campsites, but this was ridiculous. There are better campgrounds on Bruce peninsula in my opinion.
Quite developed campsite. The hub is very nice and you have private showers, flush toilets and a fountain to refill drinkable water. In the pitch area, there are other toilets and fountains to get water for cooking. The surroundings are very nice and there are wonderful hiking paths close by. Be aware that there are always mosquitos and black flies in areas with lakes, so good to bring protection for that.
