I can’t express enough how grateful my family and I are to have discovered this wonderful walk-in clinic in Waterloo/Kitchener. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that this place is both friendly and professional. The wait times are incredibly reasonable—only about 10 to 20 minutes at most. I even overheard the receptionist mention that there were four doctors available, and this was on a Sunday! It’s clear that the staff genuinely cares about their patients' health and well-being. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Curex Medical Centre for the compassionate care you provide!
Although the clinic is small and initially feels overcrowded, I was impressed by how efficiently they managed the influx of walk-ins. Despite waiting time 15 to 30 minutes , the service when it was my turn was swift and seamless. Dr. Elbira who assisted me, was exceptionally accommodating, ensuring I left completely satisfied with my visit. The team’s organization in handling the high volume of clients is truly commendable.
I have been visiting this walk-in clinic for the past three years and have always received good care. However, my recent experience with the new physicians has been disappointing. They are neither helpful nor attentive, which is a stark contrast to the level of care I was used to here. They don't seem genuinely interested in addressing my concern properly. I hope the clinic takes action to improve this, as it used to be a reliable place for medical care.
Well managednGood front desk team and doctorsnWait time is usually an hour or more during weekendnYou will receive message on the phone at time of doctor consultation
Very Disappointing Experience:nnOn February 7, 2025, my SON'S had a follow-up appointment with the doctor to discuss reports that were completed the previous week. He took our older son to the clinic and had our younger son queued up as well, since both of our children had stool tests done. Unfortunately, we found out from Public Health that both kids have a parasite issue.nnHowever, when my husband arrived at the clinic, the doctor refused to discuss the younger son’s results because my child was not physically present. This was incredibly frustrating, as our son is only 5 years old and clearly couldn’t attend the appointment himself. The doctor’s response didn’t make sense to us, especially given the nature of the test and the urgency of the results.nnFor our older son, the doctor initially said that no medication was needed, but then, after googling, prescribed an antibiotic based on information he found online. This raised serious concerns about the doctor’s approach and judgment.nnTo make matters worse, we’re from Stratford, and every week we receive calls asking us to send individual reports to Waterloo. When we finally went to the clinic, we had to wait for over an hour. Once we were called in, we entered the doctor’s room, only for him to leave in the middle of our appointment to take a phone call. We were left waiting in the room for an additional 1.5 hours. When he returned, he didn’t even seem to know what tests he needed to recommend.nnThe lack of communication, professionalism, and care was unacceptable. It’s incredibly disappointing to see such a lack of coordination and attention to detail in our children’s healthcare.
