Great place to check out! Staff were very nice, the restaurant was clean, and it was a fun atmosphere. Food was very good! The beef short rib was amazing! The burger was ok, possibly overcooked. We ordered the bacon smash but they brought the classic burger, not a big deal. The truffle fries were yummy. I recommend getting The Dip, creamy and cheesy with lobster and shrimp but not heavy at all! Such a good app.
Cool spot where the theme is definitely something I can get behind. A lot of art that fits the vibe and great staff. Our server was kind, on top of it, and didn’t even hesitate to take a photo for my wife and I. Good portions are a lot so you definitely get your moneys worth. I don’t think there was an order my wife and I were dissatisfied with.
I'll usually try my culinary tastings at an independent restaurant over a corporate location...typically it's because you can expect either something great, or learn a lesson on where not to eat. The good: homemade pizza offerings which are above anything you would find at a corporate location. They send it with scissors to "cut it yourself", which I think is intended to give you an experience...however, my guests were not so keen on the idea, but I'm not going to hold that against the Dropout. The not-so-good: The Dip pictured below. This is supposed to be a lobster and shrimp dip similar to the artichoke dip. It was tasteless, or rather tasted more like cheese and cream. If it is made in house, I'd recommend that they add more of the lobster to give it that unique flavour that it's meant to have based on the description in the menu. The blah: The wings are nothing special, so save your money. That said, the place appears popular as it got busier as the evening progressed. The big question that people who read reviews want to know: will we go back? I'm going to say that I would give it another try...but avoid The Dip and the wings!
The Bacon Smash Burger was the perfect size and so delicious. My wife got the Dirty Bird and loved it. Our waitress was awesome. Luckily, we got In when we did because it got pretty busy soon afterwards. We would definitely be back!Food: 5/5
My mom and I came here for our first time tonight and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our waitress Katie was so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was great, the drinks were tasty and the food was delicious. I had the triple threat blt. It was filling but not heavy. My mom had the goddess bowl no protein added and she couldn’t stop raving about how good it was. The house made dressing was amazing I had to try a taste. We will definitely be returning, and we’re looking forward to trying the other items on the menu.
Two of us came here a couple weeks ago and I would say before going into detail that this is most definitely a place to go and try, and we will come back. It is good. The overall experience here was where I struggle with giving five stars. I would like to think the two of us that went are friendly, but maybe something happened that day because our host and server seemed the least bit interested in doing some of the bare minimum social interactions. I actually couldn't tell you the name of our server, he never introduced himself, and despite the restauraunt seeming a little slow watched another server sit down with some patrons, her friends im sure, our service was slowwwww. In his defense he picked it up in the latter half of our experience to what I would consider alright, but nothing about the experience screamed "we want your patronage". BUT it is not all negative. The food here is superb, and the beef dip I ordered was different than a traditional beef dip, but in my opinion a must try menu item. There was not a single thing I think a person could say was wrong with that sandwich. Flavourful, cooked perfectly, portion size was more than generous, and even the fries were amazing! My friend had the spicy chicken sandwich and that too was a great item. We'll be back, just going to cross our fingers that the service isn't a culture thing and maybe just a bad day for the staff we interacted with.
Yum! 80th birthday celebration for my grandmother. Service was impeccable. Drinks were on point. Food was amazing! We ordered a plethora of food, everyone loved their meals and the shared starters. Everything is a solid 5 stars, highly recommended.
Over priced and the food here is horrible, just like the other restaurants that 43 north runs. Biggest let down for a meal I have ever eaten in my life. What exactly was that cheese that was served with the pretzel fondue? Lovely instant mashed potatoes were served with my salmon dish salmon was the thinnest cut of fish I have ever been served. Nachos were a complete joke, puffed up rectangular tortillas with toppings ony on top layer. Kfc cauliflower bites... There was absolutely nothing Korean in flavor to that overpriced excuse of an appetizer... And what exactly is up with serving pizza with scissors to cut it with? Hipsters must love that...
Tonight was the first time I visited since it opened. We had been to the previous restaurant several times so thought we'd give it a try. Busy but not too busy. Menu options were decent, I chose nachos with chicken and my fellow diner had ribs. Nachos themselves were very different than typical, these were more of a baked thicker type of chip, softer than typical corn chips. I enjoyed the toppings but definitely needed more cheese. What cheese I had was mostly stuck to the blue check paper under them all. When I pulled the cheese off, it had adsorbed the check pattern from the paper so I didn't eat that. Good sized portion, which I would hope for with a price tag of $17 + $6 for the chicken. I did have some to bring home, let's see how they hold up with the paper issue. The ribs were one big piece, a large bone with meat. It looked beautiful, great presentation, and the piece I had was yummy, came with some dried onions, green beans and carrots, fries on the side but a baked potato would have been great, overall, dish was on smaller side. Colours inside are nice, interesting things on the walls. Lights in dining area on the right from front door way too bright and it was quite loud inside, between the constant ringing of the business phone and the music. Server was friendly and took good care of us. Food came out super quick, thank you.
Food was absolutely delicious. Meat was tender and full of flavour. Pizza was tasty. Not only was the food phenomenal, the customer service was top notch. Thank you for the awesome experience.
