Crugnale Bakery

Service was quick. Two people working behind the counter. Both knew what they were doing and when any line formed, it moved quickly. 99% of people who came in picked something up and left but there is seating available which was pretty cute. When I sat down, the people working there offered to heat up my food since most people just leave with it and heat it up at home/work I ordered a spinach olive calzone? and a cinnamon roll. Both tasted home made in a good way and were reasonably priced. I would probably go back if I lived here since a lot of the other things they had looked good.

I gave it only two stars because I was looking for pastries and the case was empty. To be fair, I went in at the end of the day. I was told there are only a few baked goods made there now. We have had their pizza strips, which are good. The gentleman behind the counter was pleasant and helpful in making a recommendation on where to purchase baked goods.

I went to the location on Newman Ave in Rumford, RI at 8:30/9am, after gping to the Newark St. Location in Providence to find out they were closed. I specifically asked the gentleman at the counter if the boxes of pizza were fresh. He "Oh yes the boxed pizza is fresh from today". I purchased 2 boxes to bring up to a family gathering in Falmouth, MA. When ever we get crugnales which had been over a year ago due to covid we always have a slice for the road. The pizza was refrigerator cold and the crust was dry. He sold me day old pizza. I called him and asked him why he lied? If they weren't fresh I would have spent more money buying individual slices. At first he still claimed they were fresh but then he said "oh we must have sold all the fresh ones". By 9am on a Monday morning!!! So thank you for letting me spend $25 on 2 boxes of day old pizza & day old pizza chips and charging me full price.

The best Italian bread in the state and if you get there early you can get the well done bread will the hard crust, the best! Tomato pie pizza and calzones are great and especially love the spinach pies!

Been a customer there for 45+ years. Over the past year have seen a steady decline in bread selection. Not because they are busy but because they dont get deliveries. Have also noticed bread loafs getting smaller. Pizza getting smaller as well. It's almost like they don't care about this location anymore and going out of business. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the folks that work there are awesome. That's the only good thing about the place. Went there last Friday around 9AM and no bread at all. Time to look for a bakery that cares.

The customer service is great. The attendant was friendly and helpful. Prices are fair/inexpensive The products they do have are very tasty. The bread is a good quality and does not have an aftertaste. They also have a lot of defferent calzones AKA stromboli, however you like to call it and some other baked odds and ends, drinks, cookies etc. The selection is very limited so it's great for lunch or for a loaf of Italian bread but they do not have artisan breads nor pastry or cakes which I would like to see added. Hence the 4 stars. Otherwise a cozy little local bakery.

How is this not 5 stars? Best cold cheeseless pizza ever! Once you start you can't stop, such a great crowd pleaser, never met anyone who's had it and isn't a fan. It's a local favorite!

Number 1 place for bakery pizza all day everyday. Awesome cinnamon rolls, don't like their sour dough bread at all it's bland with zero sour... just dense their "spinach and feta" mini calzone has no feta but the "pepperoni and cheese" is amazing, the "eggplant parm"'s quality varies from out of this world to im not taking another bite. There is always the same friendly woman at the counter. They take cash and credit. Somethings are a good deal and others are expensive. My issue is that the quality isnt consistent, with the exception of the bakery pizza which they have never messed up in my experience.

Love Crugnale!! I don't mind the drive, DEFINITELY worth it for their Italian bread, Party Pizza, and Zeppole!!! Great food, nice people!

Best pizza ever. We drove to rumford because cranston store suddenly closed. We were heartbroken. The guy in rumford was great. Pleasant and friendly..nobody makes pizza like Crugnales...
