Made a reservation over the phone the day prior to dining in and it was fairly easy. Went in for 04:15pm and it was fairly quiet. Everyone was mostly in for takeout. Restaurant was all around tidy and clean, they also have an all gender bathroom so very inclusive and up to date. Also wheelchair accessible. The first server I had was very nice, despite her telling me she was done her shift in 30mins and to order with the other server, she also used a terrible perfume to mask her cigarette smell which was a tad bit nauseating. The lady who took our order was very helpful and patient with us, made ordering very easy. Wish I caught her name but unfortunately I didn’t. **THE FOOD came in 15mins or less! Everything was excellent ! The oxtail, curry goat, jerk chicken, fried chicken, wings were all flavourful and falling off the bone! Portions were also great! The festivals were golden brown and delicious. The rice and peas was kinda dry but you know I had the extra oxtail gravy! Unfortunately no dumplings at the time but we enjoyed our meal and I look forward to going back for their red peas soup!
My wife and I were in the area reconnecting with my parents, and decided to stop off here for some food. Service was amazing, the atmosphere was very calming, the food was delicious! If you’re in the mood for some Jerk Chicken and/or OxTail, this is one of the top spots in the area.
I'm used to getting Carribean food in the North West end of Toronto, but wanted to try here as a well reviewed place in Vaughan. The beef patty was ok. I also tried the jerk chicken with peas and rice, which was also served with coleslaw tasty but a bit too creamy. While the portions are good for a single person's dinner, the jerk chicken lacked flavour compared to other places I've tried that had much better value. The rice and peas also didn't have that many beans as I'd like. However, the staff was friendly and restaurant has a nice aesthetic with the interior decor and comfy seating - not something you typically get with most Carribean food spots! The place was also below room temperature so our food turned cold quickly. Try this resto out if you'd like a nice dining setting for Jamaican food and are ok with alright food. Otherwise tinier less aesthetic spots around Toronto have better value for taste and price! The staff also checks your vaccine passport I'm finding some places skip this.. so have that ready if you're dining in! The menu is also accessible online via a QR code.
Creole is a good Caribbean restaurant but the food is very over priceed for what it's worth. It's also over rated a little. The food portions are good if dinning. They could give a little more meat but other than that the quality is good.
The service is absolutely amazing!!!!!! Best service in Toronto not joking. Inosia was amazing and creative and I am coming back for her. Chef was excellent and my son ate his and mine and we both left satisfied.
"stuffed patty" was cold. I ordered take out and as soon as I got into the car I pulled out the stuffed patty, it was cold and flat like a pancake. I was so disappointed I took photos because I wouldn't have been able to describe just how flat and unstuffed it was. I ordered the ox tail roti and jerk chicken dinner, both were decent but not worth the price. Don't think I'll ever be returning.
What can I say. Wow wow and wow. The food here is sooo good. Been coming here for years . Can’t go wrong if you’re looking for some good Jamaican food or anything different than Pasta pizza and veal sandwiches in Woodbridge. TL:DR - ambiance and quality is not bad, but the portion size is too small relative for its price. Would not return again. I went at lunchtime around 1230. Restaurant ambiance is nice, but the 20 mins I was there waiting for my take out order, there was no other customers either dining in or take out. Already a big of a red flag. Anyway, I ordered 2 main entrees of jerk chicken, 1 main entree of oxtail, and a beef patty for our family of 3. For the jerk chicken entrees, I asked for the gravy to be on the side instead of on the chicken as I find some restaurant can put too much and make it too salty - I was charged additional $3. When I asked why there is up charge for the same gravy to be on the side, the server said it is because the chef puts “just a little bit on the chicken” and “you’ll be glad you ordered the extra gravy” - what? well, why charge more if you know there is not enough gravy?? I’m terms of the quality, The Jamaican patty was very mediocre, can skip that. I will say that the jerk chicken and oxtail taste wise is good, spice is on point, however, the portion size for all 3 entrees are tiny for its price. We essentially paid $20 for a jerk chicken entree including the up charge for moving gravy to the side and there was 2 pieces of chicken… in comparison, we had the same portion at Roywoods a few days before and it was about half of that price and quality was comparable. the oxtail was $22 I think maybe $24 and had 3-4 fairly small pieces of meat. We were still hungry after we ate, which never happens when we order jerk chicken elsewhere. I think the taste was good, but I was really not happy with the portion size and way to expensive. Would not recommend.
We stopped in here on a Sunday a week after opening day. The restaurant itself has nice decor, is clean and comfortable. Plus the staff were very friendly. The service was a little slow for us especially as we didn't order appetizers but it wasn't too bad. The food was tasty with good portions. We all had jerk chicken with rice and peas and oxtail gravy. The chicken portion was generous and the rice and peas was even more generous. The jerk chicken was tasty and not too spicy and it was cooked pretty well. We also tried the sweet potato pudding. This too was a generous portion and tasty. There was a hint of a spice that we couldn't place that was a little too much and slightly overpowering; we still enjoyed it however. I would recommend giving this place a try and I am sure some of the early kinks will be worked out soon. The menu has great variety and I am anxious to return and try some of the other offerings.
Food here was AMAZING! Due to covid this was an Uber Eats order but you would never know it was delivery. The food was hot and fresh! The jerk chicken was moist and full of flavor. You could taste the spices from the skin down to the meat. Bone included! The plantains were soft, sweet, juicy and when you bit into it, the flavor just exploded in your mouth! If you’re in the Vaughn area of Toronto I HIGHLY RECOMMEND stopping by if you’re craving Caribbean food!
