This is another happy review. I'm happy to report that the burgers have improved significantly since my last visit. Korean BBQ They toned down on the shredded cabbage and the sauce in the korean bbq burger. Everything balanced out much better than what I remember, and I could actually taste the kimchi inside this time. The meat was cooked to a nice medium, and travelled well in our to-go order. Soft Shell Crab They put two whole deep fried soft shell crabs in one burger. Topped off with a lot of arugula, bacon and tomatoes. It was good, but not quite as balanced out as the Korean BBQ burger. I'm not quite sure what it is... Lacking some sauce? Overall, the place had some great burgers and I would definitely go back more often that I have recently. But there's a little bit missing still to give it a whopping 5 star review. Plus the buns were really bready... a little less dough would have been nice. And on the downside... the fries weren't awesome. They were ok. But felt more like baked fries than deep fried. In any case, I love improvements and having great joints in my neighborhood. Solid 4!
I absolutely love the burgers here. They are cooked perfectly. It is my go-to place for burgers. My favorites are the Korean burger and the crave burger. I also ordered the ranch fries and cheddar fries. Both were so different. Check this place out you won’t be disappointed.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
If you’re looking for a juicy burger to curb a craving and perfectly salted fries, look no further. This place is incredible and the prices are insanely reasonable for the quality of the food. Small sized fries are still a good-sized portion. See photo for context along with a picture of their signature Crave Burger. If you’re someone who is hesitant about truffle oil like I am, don’t let that sway you from giving the Crave Burger a shot. It was just the right balance and not overpowering at all.
My boyfriend and I are from Green Bay area and were working nearby so we decided to grab dinner before we went home. I ordered the Portobella burger and my boyfriend ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger, both with side salads. The salad was nothing special, the lettuce was fresh and crispy but it was just a side salad. The sandwiches were awesome, very filling and well worth the price. I will definitely stop again when I'm in the area and definitely recommend this place to others. Their staff is also very polite.
My wife and I saw the great reviews and decided to test it out. We order the crave burger, Japanese katsu burger, and Cajun fries. The presentation and quality of the the ingredients you could tell were great. My first part of the crave Burger you're immediately hit with an overwhelming taste of white truffle oil to the point where I couldn't finish the burger, while writing this 4 hours later I'm still burping up this taste and tasting it in the back of my throat. That being said without that sauce being on there I think it would be a great burger. Now on to the Japanese katsu burger The pork was slightly overcooked again the ingredients seem fresh and quality but the flavors were unexpected and not in a good way could just be my personal preference Cajun fries good presentation good fry, nothing to complain about. Facts: Our meal cost $27, there was 4, 2 person tables to eat at the actual restaurant, and 5 parking spots Final thoughts: Not worth it in my opinion will not be coming back
Pretty good burger, fresh toppings. Could use a better bun so it's less messy and meat could be seasoned. Interesting options like the Japanese burger and the Kimchee burger. We each got the Crave burger with Thousand Island. Great fries, tasted fresh, not frozen. Kudos to them for staying open after a pandemic as a newer restaurant. Nice to have a privately owned operation close to home and doing well.
Crave has some of the best burgers in Milwaukee, but you wouldn't know it from driving by. This is a good thing, as it remains a local spot. It's a small shop with just a couple of tables, and like all hidden gems, it has a small but excellent menu. Get the cajun fries and any burger, and try one of the international sodas. Everything is affordable, clearly cooked to order, and consistently delicious.
A lot of people recommended this burger as the best burger in MKE, so I have to admit my standards were high. It was good not great. The fries were really on point and McDonalds esque. This is more compared to a Kopps or Culver's than a pub burger. Although at 14 bucks for fries and a burger I would go with the other fast food options.
I drove from about an hour away because of people talking about the burgers on reddit. There was three tables inside that would hold two people each. We must have gotten there just in time because only one table was occupied. We sat down, looked through the menu and placed our order. Then a line started forming and going out the door If that tells you anything. We got our burgers, Korean BBQ burger 2x and Crave burger, small Cajun fries, small cheese fries, small BBQ fries and let me just say, from the first bite. These may be the best burgers I have ever eaten. I was kinda skeptical, driving an hour for burgers but it was well worth it. The Crave burger with its truffle flavor has kept me dreaming about it since! I definitely recommend trying this place out, 100% will be going back when the snow is all done. Parking: Not a huge amount of parking like a chain restaurant but you should be able to find a spot.
Simply delicious! I had the soft shell crab and Cajun fries. The fries are thin and perfectly cooked; not too crispy, not “floppy” either and the seasoning has just enough heat. As a pescatarian I had to try the soft shell crab I just did no bacon and it was awesome! Prices are on point as well. Can’t wait to come back and try the portobello burger.
