I would say this is the best Crabby Joe’s I’ve ever been. The service here by Robin was out of this world. Made sure we had everything we needed and made sure the beer stayed full!! We ordered the Spinach goat cheese dip. The cook back there Joey did an amazing job. Would tell all friends and family to come the this establishment. Cheers Peeps
Staff are great. Nice spot for a drink and/or meal. Familiar menu yet they seem to get it right unlike some other locations. Everything is good but the nacho's w extra cheese no meat were amazing. They did them in layers so every chip had toppings and lots of them. You gotta share them, the portion is huge. Vegetarian options: Nacho's great, don't need meat. Salad and pasta options are good too skip the cheese for vegan Parking: Loads of parking right there Dietary restrictions: They do their best, but it is a franchise… so they don't have complete control of options.
Fall off the bone delicious ribs were enjoyed last evening as well as a delicious Caesar salad and crispy fries with gravy. Samantha was a wonderful server. Excellent job by the newer chef Donald. I highly recommend and will definitely be back.
A Night out for dinner at this place last week Start of Dec and we ordered dinner for myself and family. All seemed well. Until we waited 75 min for our meal only to be brought out wrong, missing part of the order and a chicken dish was ordered and the chicken was Raw. Not cooked. I notified the young waitress and she took it back and the manager who ended up tossing the entire plate. They then charged me for my meal that wasn't even bitten into except one piece of chicken. Please check your food before eating and be leary of the chef in the kitchen whom was constantly looking out once we notified the waitress of the raw food. I am currently waiting a call back from head office as why should a customer be charged for a raw meal that was not even eaten. The waitress/ mgr offered a small discount off the single dish even though the entire order was excessively late, wrong or not cooked. Absolutely despicable. Again for those going and reading this, please check your food for correctness and for being cooked.
I drove from out of town with my Mum to meet up with my grandchildren here today. We arrived at 2pm and the experience was horrible right from the start. We were forgotten about repeatedly. It took a half hour to receive service, at that point we asked what was on draft, the server had no idea. She went to ask and never came back. The next girl said she couldn't serve us as there was someone else looking after us? Who??? It took another half hour to get someone to take our order. My meal was completely forgotten about, everyone else's food came out and then our server realized the mistake. My meal was not good when it did arrive 10min after the rest of the meals. The asked to speak to the manager, she did come over after another 20min. We were one of 4 tables on the restaurant side.
I’ve never been a huge fan of Crabby’s but we were hungry and in Strathroy for an appointment so we decided to give it a go as we’re unfamiliar with the restaurants in the area. I wasn’t expecting anything great but I assumed it would at least be edible. What an absolute waste of money. When we got there, no one greeted us. We waited for the bartender to eventually get off the phone and come seat us. I ordered the simplest thing on the menu, hoping it wouldn’t be too bad: chicken fingers and French fries. Surely they can deep fry a couple frozen products, right? Apparently not. The chicken fingers were room temperature on the inside, barely defrosted. I know they come pre-cooked and frozen so it wasn’t a health risk but it was still disappointing. My fries were cold, sickly pale, and soggy. I tried one and it was still raw potato inside. I know these come par-cooked and frozen too, so I suppose they just put them in the fryer to defrost and assumed that was good enough. I can’t stress enough that they weren’t cooked through or browned at all. Someone consciously took uncooked, barely-defrosted frozen French fries and put them on a plate knowing they’d be served to someone. There’s no excuse for something like this. The restaurant was empty aside from a few barflies. My boyfriend ordered a burger and fries, same deal. The plates were warmer than the food. His burger bun was rock hard and the patty was lukewarm. Fries were raw and barely warmed through. I would have talked to the waitress about it but she had long since disappeared - we ate our meals with empty drink cups and with NO CUTLERY because there was no one to flag down and ask for assistance. By the time she came back to give us the bill we just wanted to leave. To her credit, she did offer to have the food re-made but it had been 45 minutes and we were fed up. We weren’t offered any sort of discount. How can you possibly justify serving food like this to paying customers? Management should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.
Horrible service ruined my Daughters Birthday lunch party put us all in a bad mood for New Years Eve, snotty attitude from Manager that should never have been given the position. I had to run around and get my own condiments after we called ahead to make sure we could bring in a 4-year-olds cake and presents. People drove 45 minutes and others 25 minutes just to be told as we walked in we couldn't bring in a cake. Train your staff, better yet close this location. It's an embarrassment to The Obsidian Group. Long list of things they didn't have like kids menus and lids for kids drinks to start. Kid-friendliness: Unfortunately very kid unfriendly. Terrible service, Manager couldn't care less.
Not bad place, great for a beer but food not so much. Went a few times with the family, always a food mess-up, food tastes good but takes a minute to get there. Just an "ooops" and then fix it but we all eat separately now. Not the best experience, but staff is nice just if 2 of 4 meals are incorrect, maybe throw in a free dessert for my kid is all.
Very disappointed with the taste & quality of the food. My son & I had the ribs & wings…very small portions and our fries came out cold. The waitress handed my husband the plate…which was extremely HOT, he burnt his hand and dropped the plate…she said…the plate is hot!!! Then I noticed that she was using a towel to carry the plate…why would you hand a plate to a customer that’s hot! Won’t be back!
Pathetic. Literally just showed up there with 14 people, to get some lunch after a hockey game. We were met with attitudes and hostility towards our group and we’re being forced a 4 item menu to choose from. We explained we had 3 hours, we’re fine sitting in smaller groups and did not expect to eat at the same time. Nonetheless we were told regardless of where we sat we would be a burden and this limited menu which we had no interest in would be our only option. So we just left. Like have you never had a walk-in group before. I’ve never been to this location and on future outings to the Strathroy area will avoid coming here. May I suggest Parker’s BBQ Prime Rib and Grill which is In the same lot. 40 of us went for lunch yesterday with very few hiccups and issues as well as a much friendlier staff, and an all around good experience
