My wife and I traveled across the country from BC to visit the Maritimes about 10 years ago. Drove across the Confederation Bridge after visiting her folks in New Brunswick. I worked in construction, so was quite interested in this bridge. Spent some time around the PEI side of the bridge and happened on Gateway Village, and specifically the COW brand ice cream store. Very unique for me. Tasty ice cream. Got some nice gifts in their store. A must stop for drivers after getting off the bridge and continuing further into PEI

Great stop. Cows has the best ice cream in Canada but you should go to their factory near Charlottetown if you want the full on cows experience. This one smelled too much like subway which leaves that smell on you for hours and doesn't mix well eating ice cream. Definitely a grab and go spot.

Always a fun place to stop while visiting Prince Edward Island. Great icecream and you have to try the chocolate covered potatoe chips.
