The service was great, thanks to Trish. The food ... horrible. The "homemade fries" would have been great had they not been cooked 15 - 20 minutes too long. They were so overcooked that we could not eat them. Same thing with the country fried steak. There was absolutely no seasoning on anything. I ordered a steak that had NO seasonings, not even salt - but it was cooked as requested, rare. The country fried steak was over cooked, like the fries and the homemade fries were inedible because they were so overcooked. I had heard how great this restaurant was, but I am not impressed at all. The only redeeming factor was the service from our server, Trish.

Had a great lunch here after touring TippetRise today. Staff was friendly and efficient and food was delicious. My wife had a French Dip and fries and I had a Bacon Cheeseburger and Onion Rings. All the food was hot and fresh. The decor was very festive as the Cowboy Bar is prepared for the Fourth of July.

Nicely done. Excellent Patty Melt and Homemade Fries. Bent Nail on tap. The waitress was super nice. Definitely a good place to stop after exploring the area.

If you are reading this review driving by looking for somewhere to eat, keep driving.
When we walked in around 745 on a Saturday night there were probably 6 other tables on both sides (dining room and bar) we sat down and the server/bartender came over about 5 minutes later. We ordered a pitcher of beer and she brought out plastic cups "because they ran out of glasses", well did you run out of a dishwasher too? Anyway we ordered food and our table of 5 waited an hour for our food, seeing our server 3 times in that hour and she made no mention of the food or even saying that would take a little bit or anything. After a day of hiking and the hour wait for our food we were so hungry we just ate. The food was ok, the fries were ice cold and clearly cooked over an hour ago, probably when we ordered. So we ate and went to pay our bill. One of the members of our group complained about how long the food took and the response we got back from our server was "I'll tell the cook", that wasn't really what we were looking for until she told us that he was also the owner. When we told her an hour for food is still unacceptable she told us "We had a full dining room and a little grill, if you want food under an hour, there's a McDonald's in Columbus". We should've gone there, that probably would have been better service and food.
I don't know if you will see this or if you even have internet, but maybe consider staffing more, I'm sure one of the other 14 people in your town could learn how to cook a burger or take an order.
