You can Shop the Cotton Factory from 11am-4pm on the third Saturday of each month! We are a creative arts facility in the heart of lower Hamilton offering studio spaces, offices, workshops, & film locations in a repurposed 117 year old cotton mill.

Story

In the heart of lower Hamilton, this former industrial building from 1900 is a prime example of adaptive reuse. It has been transformed from the former Imperial Cotton Mill into a creative industries complex, with space for workshops, galleries, office space for creative professionals, and studios for artists. Filmmakers, photographers and special events are also drawn to the building by its unique aesthetic and its historic charm.

We had our wedding here in the Imperial Room, and it was such a treat being able to work with Cassandra to get everything ready for our big day. She connected us with different vendors when we were at a loss of who to contact, and she was extremely responsive when we had questions. Our guests loved the venue, and it definitely made for a unique experience.
Great co-working space. Funky, functional, unique and comfortable.
We recently had our engagement party in Gallery 206 and everything was perfect! We couldnt have done it without Cassandra who helped us with every detail and hustled all day to bring us everything we needed, helped with setup and take down and hauling all of stuff to the room. Cassandra was very responsive and organized and made everything a breeze, we are so thankful she was there to help!

Absolutely beautiful building. They have kept most of the old architecture and original materials wherever possible. Filled with artists, photographers, craftsman, and many small businesses and niche creations. We bought some locally produced raw honey. Three are plenty of large spaces for gatherings and collaborative work. I couldn't believe how big this place was. It's gigantic. We walked through it during a recent does open event. The Cotton Factory is an amazing piece of Hamilton history.
Got my makeup and hair done here, tricky with parking but a beautiful venue and a nice place to find vendors and individual creators in the building
Super cool space, persons rent office space co op type environment, sharing bigger tix items, reminds of the distillery district buildings, did me CPR training there! And supposedly in the area they Film The Blowing Glass Series through Netflix so super brilliant And the catering company for lunch was amazing, saw them again at at the Ancaster Stroll!
The staff that I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The building was clean, access was straightforward and direct. Lots of space was available for different projects at the time. There is also a blue bicycle rack just outside the building that you can take a bike to ride around dock after you are finished. Lots of parking available on different sides of the buildings. But street parking is limited to about 3 hours during the daytime.
