Cottage Cafe

First time in and I loved it. Friendly staff, knows how to joke around and have fun. Food was great and came out quickly. If you're in the area I recommend stopping here for breakfast. Small place, seating is limited but worth the wait.

Update: It has been at least 6 months since I have eaten at Cottage Cafe. It has gone downhill. I called when I was en route to see how long the wait was for a table. The gal on the phone said 30 minutes. I just had my one son with me, so I figured we would risk it and wait. It took at least 45 minutes, and then another 20 minutes for our food to come (which is fine). I was super bummed out to find that the country fried steak and hash browns were not half as delicious as they used to be. Perhaps it was past time to clean the fryers? Anyhow, not worth the wait. 7 months ago: I would eat at the Cottage every day, if I could. The food is awesome and so is the service. The country fried steak is THE BOMB! The best time to go is during the week, as weekends are very busy.

I came in on a Saturday at 7:30 am. It was close to my hotel and had good reviews. The place was extremely packed, which is usually a good sign. With the name like Cottage Cafe and how it looks like a cute little woodland cottage, I was kind of expecting cute little old ladies serving amazing homemade breakfast. I was quite disappointed to find the place completely run by kids; seriously, none of them could have been over 25. Some of the language/conversations were definitely of the college-going type as was the rock music I could hear coming from the kitchen. The eggs benedict was just mediocre and the attention and service was OK. I would not come back.

Never disappointed. Excellent food. Great customer service. Always busy and still don't push you away. They take pride in their jobs here. I will always wait long to have a seat in this cafe. Country fried steak is so delicious. Biscuits and gravy are so yummy and eggs Benedict! You can't go wrong!

Awesome food. Best biscuits and hash browns in Spokane. Excellent staff. Fast ticket times. You can count on a wait that is well worth it. When we go out to breakfast with the fam, this is the only joint we can agree on!
