Coronation Park

Great big park, three different playgrounds for different age kids to play in. Lots of swings and a great splash pad. Right on the water so beautiful views. Lots of parking and picnic areas. You can even go down to the beach area and swim if your brave enough. Would be a good spot for a birthday party.

Lovely park with a nice lake view and a short waterfront trail for a relaxing walk. There are a few benches to sit and relax along the waterfront and a small play area and a splash pad for kids. Parking is free and has more than enough space.

We went to the coronation park with a few family friends and had a great time. The stones at the beach fascinated the kids as they were mostly flat. We celebrated a birthday there with a small cake and everyone loved it. Great place to have a picnic, enjoy the lake view and unwind. Playground: It has great playground separate sections for toddlers and older kids. It also has 3 climbing walls for those enthusiastic climbers. The splash pad is not too big but a good size to get soaked and beat the summer heat. Dog-friendliness: Lots of space to walk your dogs. Picnic area: There are lots of benches in different parts of the park. Some spots have covered seating as well. It's a great place to have a picnic and spend the evening or weekends with Pets and kids.

So tranquil and clam! Beautiful view of Lake Ontario and amazing rich blue colour from any angle! Mostly rocky....we saw the most amazing Toronto skyline and sunset while kids get to play in the gentle waters....absolutely stunning to sit down and enjoy nature in an extremely quiet surrounding. There is a small Kingdom themed Park for kids to play and a washroom too. One can go on long walks along the lake too!

Very nice park for all seasons. It is such an enjoy to walk along the lake shore. There is children’s playground, and several parking places. The light decorations on trees are amazing.

Great park with excellent facilities and a nice little beach. Personally not very comfortable with the crowd that go to this park and prefer not to visit the park. The washrooms were disgusting. I walked onto a group of young men washing their clothes and airing their underwear in the washrooms, and many many other things. Parking is a nightmare and drivers are rude. It’s unfortunate for this to happen to a great park, but last time for me here.

Beautiful place! 1. Beware! A strong fishy scent lingers around the shoreline & some surrounding areas if you choose to sit closer to the water. But, you don't feel it much when you're on the grass or on in one of the shelters 2. However parking is extremely limited!! Especially if you're coming here for an event/pincic you'll be forced to wait 15-30 min until someone leaves to park, so whence you come, ARRIVE as early as possible. 3. This place has shelters group seating. Some have benches some don't. Not sure if you need to book them, but you can use them for large gatherings picnics, birthday, class etc 5. There are no swimming instructions, but people do swim here. I've also seen people canoe/kayak etc, so I'm assuming it's allowed. 6. This place has different viewing angles. At every entrance, there's usually a condensed rock pathway leading upto the middle of the water where the waves crash and water sprays over you. This is the best spot to cool off and take pictures! you get the rock pathway in your background, and the water up close in front of you 7. This place also has a kid's playground and a splash pad. Lots of tree area and I'm sure hiking trails as well.

This was my first visit to Oakville and our friend took us to Coronation Park. The clear blue skies and the water was truly a sight to behold. The park had lots of areas to have a picnic and relax. People could also bathe in the water too. Ideal place to visit to relax and de-stress.

Great park at the lake shore with good parking and facilities. Oakville town arranged for lights display, its great to walk by. Make sure to layer up as it's pretty much at shore making it extra windy and chill.

We have been to the Coronation park many times but today we took our baby and we absolutely loved being there. The park itself is clean and has 2 playgrounds but I wish it didn't have woodchips. The splash pad is amazing and I cannot wait for my son to be old enough to use the splash pad. The bathrooms are fairly clean but I wish it had a mirror and some actual lighting because it was a bit dark inside. The paths are kept clear of debris. We really enjoyed being there.
