Fun place to go. The first time I went there I got a parking ticket because I inadvertently parked in a private lot that needs a permit, right by the beach. I don’t recall seeing any signage so beware. There is free parking across the street. The beach is beautiful, the water is cold and the bottom is muddy though. Not good for swimming. My kids really enjoyed skipping stones and splashing in the water. I got great photos.
It is a place for all age groups. There are children's playgrounds, huge parks, beach, rocky shore, etc. There is a very cool ice cream restaurant called duckie. The park is huge. We can rest on shore in bikini. The only issue - very bad water. Water is too much polluted and there is heavy amount of algae, etc. The bed in water is too rocky and sharp pebbles are there so one can't be in water for long. Kayaking etc is allowed. There is harbour too.
Interesting place to visit! You will witness many different types of people in their behavior, beliefs, habits and so on. Mostly visited by families in groups. However, you will find some lonely ones too. Lake water is mostly very cold for swimming. Nice place with contours and big trees to visit once in a while. It's a beach as well as a park.
Great local beach access point for sunset photography. Behind me is the marina. From there you can watch the sun fall below the horizon. Gentle reminder to wear protection if you plan to stare at the sun. The attached photos were captured 2 minutes before sunset. Sunsets in Southern Ontario look like cotton candy. I adore that.
Bronte beach is next to the Bronte Bluffs Park. Many yachts are anchored on land at the end of the season. There is a quiet atmosphere. Only ducks are wandering around the parking lot under the warm sunlight.
Very limited space for a proper picnic spread….very dirty water near beach it didnt rain recently no permission for bar bq etc….may be a good water front for people who have boats etc
Lovely place, was a beautiful and quiet Saturday evening! Not something you can say about many parks. The trail: short and sweet, kid friendly The beach: very small patch, lots of algae, but beautiful. Very romantic, very cute and there's a couple cute spots around. Very Instagram worthy.
It's fine for a picnic no BBQ allowed but this used to be alot better as a beach. Sadly the new rock formation thing that was put in has destroyed the beach part of this park. There is stagnant water now that is pretty dirty and pretty rocky. This used to be a sandy swimnable beach . Limited parking as the marina next door has reserved most of the spots. It's ok for kayaking or wakeboarding but sadly we have lost a great spot in Oakville for a day at the beach .
Nice place : There is parking next to the beach, but make sure to park on the spots designated for public parking, other spots might get you ticket. Can be a bit crowded on the weekends afternoon. Shallow water, might not be best suited to swimming..saw a lot of people with kayaks..if you walk towards the harbor side you can find deeper water suitable for a dip !
What a lovely afternoon we spent at the beach in Bronte!!!! The only problem we had was cigarette buds all over the beach. But aside from that it was awesome!!!!
