I recently had the pleasure of using Coquitlam Central Station on the SkyTrain. One of the standout features that immediately caught my attention was the ample parking space available. It's a relief to not have to worry about finding a parking spot, making the overall journey much more convenient and stress-free. The cleanliness of the station is another noteworthy aspect. The design of Coquitlam Central Station is both modern and culturally rich.
I have a bias opinion about this specific location. I work afternoon from 12 pm to 830 pm and the wait time for a train to arrive is always 10 min or more but what makes it hurt more is that every time I get to braid station or 22 no street station, I missed the bus by mere minutes and have to wait for 30 min. There needs to be more services in the evening for people who are not working necessarily 9 to 5. I still want it get home quickly and enjoy time with my family.
Using the Skytrain is always fast and convenient - whether heading back and forth between Port Moody and Coquitlam Center for the fireworks, or heading down to the science center on False Creek. It's clean, efficient and affordable. What's not to love?
I'm not sure why the handicap parking is not in front of the station. Elderly people with Walkers would have a rough time getting to the station from the parking lot. Otherwise it's a convenient station and I'm glad it's here. The Millennium line has only 2 train cars. So occasionally there are pass ups, but the next one will be coming soon.
It's a transit location. Bike storage is very poor here go to Lafarge for better, and the nearest public washroom is at the mall across the highway.
Seemed nice, definitely better than having to bus all the way out there, which I just simply would not have done!..
If using Park & Go app to pay for parking then Good Luck. Just spoke to Impark and the parking monitoring company doesn't have access to Park & Go app and they issue parking violation notice and you will be in endless loop to deal with Impark, Park & Go and Translink. Better park somewhere else or park with ticket on dash else you get one from Impark.
I'm a tourist from out of province, so I know I am in the wrong here for not knowing the rules - however I took a small puff of my vape I recently quit smoking cigarettes while waiting for my SkyTrain as I thought it would be okay, the station is open air and empty, and I didn't see the signage until I was spoken to. I had an Irish I think SkyTrain attendant yell at me from across the tracks "there's no smoking on the SkyTrain, I caught you! You aren't so special!". I found this very unprofessional, as I am not from here and did not see any signage. A simple "hey there's no smoking allowed here" would have been more than enough and I would have apologized profusely. The "you aren't special" comment especially seemed targeted as I was with somebody who IS special needs. Extremely disrespectful, every other SkyTrain attendant has been polite and helpful. I will be sure not to puff my vape in the stations anymore but I wish that staff member was a little more decent and personable. It wasn't hard to catch me as I wasn't trying to be sneaky? I believe it was the most interesting part of her day!
It's very nice, cozy and convenient for you going to work, school and travel. It's very safety for everyone. We also can help environment. A good transportation will be a must if a country wants to keep up modern times. It's helps the country's economy and living standard to improve further. As for everyone's convenience , transportation should be further improved. Thank you!
Plenty of parking and easy to pay using Translink Parking app! Just remember your parking space # and zone #. $3.00 for the whole day weekday. One star off for the confusing parking entrance by mariner way. The first two times I either missed it or drove into the parking lot of Rona. The entrance is actually between mariner way and rona parking lot entrance!
