Coquille Valley Hospital

My mother was recently admitted and she does not like hospitals!! She loved the staff and care she was provided so I love them too!!! Thank you for caring all you wonderful people!!! Tony

Don't take me to this hospital unless I will physically not survive the trip to another facility. Great Nurses, but very unprofessional clinical support staff as well as unsanitary conditions, for example the IV pump a family member of mine was given in the ER had another persons dried blood caked to the back of it, and upon mention the nurse was equally horrified and apologized as well as stated the blood was not my relatives. Durring the same visit I overheard a staff member referring to my relative as potentially drug seeking, even if this was true ( which was most certainly not the case ), do your research before utilizing this hospital, unless you have no other options.

I will not go to the hospital if I'm being taken to this facility. While I was in the ER, the staff were playing hide-n-seek around the empty bays. After I was admitted, I spent a week getting incorrect diet requirements, dodged two unnecessary surgeries and had the feeling that no one was in charge.

I have visited the emergency room more than once. The first time took quite a long time -- perhaps hours. The diagnosis was incorrect. I knew it was incorrect as I was being told, and it was proven incorrect afterward. The second visit to the emergency room was very quick but that was because the staff could not find the required equipment. The alternative equipment was inoperative. Fortunately my injury was non-life-threatening. I think the MD was skilled but the staff was incompetent. Besides being unable to locate equipment, they also could not access my medical records, which most definitely were present because of other visits to both ER and lab within the last year or two. It's a pity management doesn't hire adequately trained staff because this small town hospital is new, clean and quite nice. My best advice is to AVOID THIS HOSPITAL unless you absolutely no other choice. If someone rates this place as safe or good, I'd say they had little experience with highly rated hospitals, or they just got lucky. Every time I mention CVH in conversation I am told of another horror that occurred here. STAY AWAY FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY.

Been here several times since the remodel. Seems slow and. This time I have been here for three hours and. And have nor had anything done. Only have been seen by a student.
