Coq O Bec

We've been long time customers because they are one of the only deliveries for ribs in town, however after tonight we are now former customers. The ribs are delicious, but for the price the portion of fries is small. The other night however they completely messed up our $40 order [demi ribs, club & small poutine] - none of it was correct. We only realized after driving home and opening it up to find 2 chicken meals & 2 1/2 club. Since there would have been more than an hour wait to replace it, IF we drove back to pick it up (costing us more gas), the server on the phone promised to replace the whole order in the future. When we went to claim the meal they changed their story saying they would only credit $20 of our $40 order. The manager increased the offer to $25 but nowhere close to our $40 cost. Making the customer pay for your mistake? Really disappointing!

Most waitress are awesome, food is delicious with good portion for a great price. I love this place!

If I could, I would give this place no starts, but the meter does not allow me. Worst place to go! My fiance and I lived in Sherbrooke for some years, and we have ordered from Coq O Bec numerous times as the poutine always tasted so good. Before we moved to a different province, we decided to take my two little brothers to Coq O Bec for dinner after playing at the park. We had ordered two large poutines, my Fiance and I shared one, and my brothers shared one. We initially asked this to go but seems how we had never eaten inside decided to sit down and eat. We got a window seat, and it was a little bit dark as it was night time. We were the only ones in the restaurant except for the workers. As I was finishing my food, I took the brown paper bag (that I put on the window seal) and placed it on the table, only to notice tons of ants inside the bag. I then looked, and there was even more on the window seal. I immediately panicked and told my brothers to stop eating. My fiance took the bag to the cashier and showed them it came from the window seal. The cashier accused us of bringing ants into the restaurant and putting it in the bag. He disputed that and said, "Why would he bring ants and how would he bring them"? It did not make any sense. Therefore my fiance demanded his money back. They said they could not do that, but they could make us another poutine. Considering we just finished one we were full. Therefore he said he does not want another one since we just ate and there are ants in the restaurant. The cashier took the paper bag and showed the cook in the back the paper bag with ants. (Now bear in mind the paper bag was over the other food the cook was cooking during that time so it could've gotten into more food or the ants could have spread ed since the cook put the bag down on the cooking space). What an idiot! Eventually, after arguing with the cashier and the cook they refunded our money back. I never returned back and never thought they were bad even when my brother found hair in his food when he has almost no hair. But after this experience, I will never go back there. It is a shame because the food did taste good!

- Commande: Petite poutine pour emporter; portion généreuse, fromage #1, frites dures, poulet sec, sauce excellente - Prix: #1 - Service: Exécrable; 2 serveuses impatientes & expéditives, du jamais-vu! - Autre: Propre. 2 menus; pour livraison ou manger sur place. Mais les prix pour emporter sont différents... il n'y a aucune indication claire des prix.
