While I'm sure they are overwhelmed and overworked , the lady I've spoken to a few times is rude. In a passive aggressive way. I appreciate that they're helping families and offering the services they do, but you can not be making people feel stupid every time . Especially when it's an easy and polite conversation.
Very helpful reasonable people. It's can be a waiting game but they seemed to be helpful and speedy on their end. Thank you so much to them.
Wonderful group, support staff is phenomenal. They make the application process easy and as streamlined as possible. I’ve received multiple phone calls already during the application process to keep me updated as to my status. It is an overwhelming feeling of gratitude to have such kind people on the other end of the phone who truly care about helping their fellow Mainers with heat and rental assistance.
If you are a landlord, DO NOT Deal with this organization. No one here knows how to do their job. Even the receptionists are rude. Emails and phone calls are not responded to. I had tenants that moved out, but prior to them moving out, Kaitlynn Bennet assured me we would receive their rent check within 4-6 weeks. Today I was told the tenants don’t qualify. Not sure who is doing the hiring over there but I haven’t spoke to a competent person who could rectify this situation yet.
People who answer the phone will assume your male or female just based off of your voice which is considered bigotry to the highest levels. Some people are nice When u ask for a supervisor they refuse and when u repeat yourself they hang up on you By far the worst customer service there is It's bigotry when u assume someone is male or female just based of your voice. And btw the person who called me a sir didn't apologize
The ERA program is hurting more tenants than it is helping with the slow process to approve applications and send funding out. Our landlord has collected 9 months of rent for a building he has only owned 7 months. He fraudulently collected money and what is being done, nothing as of yet. We are covered until the end of April with the amount of rent he is sitting on, yet he is claiming nonpayment of rent is the reason he is evicting us. Landlords had to sign an agreement that not only would they not evict for nonpayment of rent, but they also signed saying a rent increase of more than 5% in 12 months would not occur. He has been receiving ERA funds in the amount of $975 since July 2021 and increased the amount well above the 5% threshold in January to $1200 a month without a 45-day written notice. I was told by the worker I am allowed access to all documents that were signed. I not only didn't receive the documents, but they also advised the landlord I was trying to get evidence on him. More ERA funds are on the way, yet we have a court date, so we are not providing him with that ERA fund check. We are sending it back for landlords who choose to follow the agreements that they signed and who are respectful to their tenants. At this point they have not enforced this program and the agreements signed by our landlord. We have had no issues with our landlord until he thought he could speed up the process of ERA funding by sending in 7-day notices on several tenants. When he realized he couldn't take advantage of the system in that manner, he chose to evict his tenants. Do the people that administer this program actually care about what happens to tenants? From the looks of the program response, that would be a no. We have at minimum 50 text messages, emails, and video recordings that clearly show the landlord's behavior which will be submitted as evidence into our hearing. It is interesting how we as citizens have to follow and abide by laws, yet people that are not US citizens or have naturalized since their entry into the USA don't. As soon as our housing is stabilized, I will be fighting for better protections for tenants and make sure their rights are actually upheld. Our situation is like so many others who may or may not have the courage to speak out about the abuses we are subjected to as tenants.
I worked here as a volunteer driver for about eight years. The clients are really cool and appreciative for your service. Community Concepts used to be a great company to work for when they were on their own. Now they use a broker to disperse the rides and this has really ruined the company. The very worst thing about working here is if something happens to your vehicle that you use to transport their clients you're 100% on your own. They do not help with any repairs. Very poor way to treat your employees.
Great program is off at the community concepts for children at the Holiday times I received help from them a few times and what a blessing it was the staff were lovely everything is easy to pick up the contract with me please check it out this holiday season we're almost together let's help each other
