I have been wanting to try Common Good for so long and today the stars aligned. I picked up a flight to give a few flavors a try. Lavender Pistachio, Lemon Crumble, Smoking Gun Coffee and Mint Brownie. Served with a cup of waffle cone chips to go with them. All were fantastic, but that coffee ice cream is intense. The Lavender is good as well but an odd experience. The ice cream is smooth and perfect but then you get these little nuts that have softened from the moisture. Sort of like gummy pistachios. 10/10 would buy again. Lemon crumble has a fresh and almost juicy lemon flavour. This one is such a decadent treat. Their lounge is a cool cavern that is a refuge on a hot day.
Cute aesthetic and the staff person was really sweet. My milkshake was overpriced $8.40 for its size, and too milky. I might come back to try the ice cream by itself, but otherwise I'm underwhelmed.
Great selection of Ice-cream flavors. They also always have new seasonal flavoring. Waffle cones are fresh. Their brownies are really tasty too.
Quaint, little ice cream shop in the middle of downtown Abbotsford. There was barely any crowd when we were there on Sunday evening which was surprising cuz their ice cream is one of the best we've come across in Fraser Valley. Just the right scoop portion, not too big and not too small, juuust right. And their ice cream is very smooth with the flavors you choose come out beautifully without being so overpowering. I like that they offer other items as well like coffee, tea, milkshake, and not just ice cream full stop. Cuz some days you just want some milkshake. Their milkshake is really rich and thick and only diluted with a bit of milk. So expect some delightfully indulgent milkshake. They work with another local vendor as well for their coffee, Smoking Gun Coffee Roaster. They carry their beans in the shop as well as ice cream made using their beans. The inside is very cozy and they also have outdoor patio on the side, which is great for when the weather is nice and sunny. We'll definitely be back again.
This is the cutest place ever! Very aesthetically pleasing & really interesting flavours. Also LOVE that they have dairy-free options. I got the Raspberry Chocolate Truffle & it was really good, however you couldn't really taste the raspberry. It is definitely pricey for the amount of ice-cream you get, but I guess that's to be expected with boutique-type ice cream places like this one. I would recommend trying it out for sure. I may come back to try some other dairy-free options in the future!
The Latte drinks look amazing and taste even better! They use their own homemade syrups made from the actual ingredients like vanilla and cinnamon. The staff are friendly and helpful. Also the ice cream is sophisticated and delicious, but we definitely recommend you try their drinks! Pictured here are a Vanilla Latte and a Caramel Macchiato.
Delicious!!! The lemon crumble was so so good! Highly recommend! I should've brought a pint home with me, next time!! Hickory caramel here I come!
I can’t believe I stumbled across this ice cream shop during their soft opening. The ice cream is so creamy and delicious. I had the lavender pistachio which was divine and such a genius combo!! My friend had the specaloos which is the perfect fall and festive flavour. Honestly, probably the best ice cream I’ve had in the greater Vancouver area. I like that they have mini scoops in case you’re not too hungry, but still want some ice cream. The staff and owner are so friendly! The coffee bar looks great as well with craft seasonal beverages. I hope they can sell their ice cream in lower mainland grocers one day, so those coming from Vancouver can enjoy this ice cream too!
Cute little boutique ice cream cafe in downtown Abbotsford. Nice flavours but nothing simple for kids and I found the ice cream to be quite thick to eat with the plastic spoon they give you! Not alot of pistachio flavour in that one, I had mint chocolate brownie and it was quite chocolatey and a bit of mint. Lots of seating in and outside!
I so badly wanted to leave a 5 star review but just couldn't. I finally made it to the ice cream lounge and ordered a single scoop of the matcha green tea ice cream, in a cup. I was surprised at the size of the scoop for the cost. It was pretty small! It tasted pretty good and the service was good. But I spent $6.00 and was sadly unimpressed. The rest of my party also got the same size of scoop. We frequent ice cream shops instead of coffee houses and will probably go to the other local place as their ice cream isn't quite as expensive and the scoop size it much larger. Much more bang for your buck. The different varieties of unique flavors may bring us back in for another visit in the future, however.
