We came to visit family and friends. Perfect location!! Services were excellent from the front desk, cleaning to the kitchen staff, they were all helpful and friendly!! The room was what we wanted, comfortable, clean and close to the outside exit. The breakfast was delicious!! We would stay here again and recommend it.
Stayed 6 nights while a family member was at Southlake for surgery. I was very pleased with my stay and had no complaints. The rooms are clean and quiet. The location is conveniently a few minutes from the hospital, and there are lots of shops, restaurants, gas stations, etc in the area. The staff were all very friendly and helped me extend my stay when I needed to stay a couple extra nights. They even have coin laundry available to guests which was super helpful. If you are staying for medical purposes, take advantage of their medical rate for a discounted room price. So nice that they offer that!
The staff at this location Newmarket, Ontario were just wonderful. We requested a dog-friendly room for someone with mobility issues, which is always a gamble. We were delighted to find ourselves steps away from the lobby on the ground floor, in a room with no carpet so much cleaner! and a sliding door that opened to a grass area where our dog could relieve himself without delay. We cannot say enough about the BEDS and PILLOWS. We arrived after midnight and it was like falling into a cloud. What a wonderful rest. The breakfast was pretty good, though I cannot understand why plastic utensils are still in use. Not only does it make everything look and taste cheap, it shows disregard for the environment one point off for this, and the absence of any recycling efforts. The personal soaps were appreciated but it was good to see refillable dispensers in the shower. The location is out of the way but the grounds are well kept, and the outdoor seating area is a lovely bonus. Providing guests with a dog relief area and waste bags is a very nice touch. All in all, a great stay.
Great location and atmosphere. Tasty continental breakfast and fantastic pet friendly ground level rooms allowed for easy access for my elderly dog. My partner and I always enjoy our stay here. Great cafe around the corner: The Little Griddle Kitchen.
I selected this hotel because I was a Choice privileges member since 2010 and I always found them a reliable chain to stay. The purpose of my trip was to pick up a dog from a breeder located nearby. Their cancellation policy was one day notice which is different from some other Choice hotels which take same day as a 4 PM . Unfortunately, as I was on route the day of check-in, the breeder phoned me to advise that the dog had developed a sudden medical issue and she needed to keep her another week for proper medical attention. I called the hotel immediately to cancel and told them my situation and was advised that their cancellation policy would be applied. When I spoke to friends about this situation, they told me in their experience cancellation fees had been waived or credited in uncontrollable circumstances, such as this . I contacted their main customer service and was told I had checked into the hotel . After a few more emails, including with the Newmarket location, I was advised that that’s how their system worked with cancellations, you are shown as a check-in and charged.nI am extremely disappointed with their response given. I have cancelled my membership with Choice Privileges , and booked at another chain nearby for my next trip which had a same-day cancellation. I understand that this was this hotel’s policy . I don’t dispute that. I’m just disappointed in their inability to consider anything on a case by case basis for someone who has been long-standing member. I just want other travellers to be aware that there are other hotels in the area that are as reasonable and as highly rated or more that have a same day cancellation policy,
