Cold Stone is a delicious ice cream shop in Valparaiso. After eating in one of the many restraunts in the area you will be craving some dessert. The ice cream selection is large and the cones are tasty and made fresh. The location isn't huge but the location is open pretty late. There is always plenty of parking so that makes stopping and grabbing ice cream quick and easy!
Love the ice cream! But their hours have been all over the place the last couple years. I was there this past Monday thinking they would be open until 9 and there’s a sign on the door saying due to being short staffed they’re closing at 8. It was 5:55 PM and their doors were locked. I drive 30 minutes to get ice cream and I’ve had a handful of times where they close before they are supposed to or change their hours. This does not make my kids happy, which makes me unhappy. Thankfully Chick-fil-A is right next door now, so they are going to for milkshakes.
Probably will not be going back. I had a piece of hair in my ice cream which is disgusting. It wasn’t like it was a piece of hair that could’ve been mine because for one my hair os in braids, two the hair was blonde, & three it was deep in the ice cream because I tried to yank it out and there was more deep down inside. Just disgusting and unsanitary.
They gave us 3 of the wrong apples 28 dollars. Noticed soon as we walked out and went back in immediately. Owner Russ said yes those are wrong apples. Sorry. Give me ur debit card and ill refund it ...ok no problem. He proceeded to write down all my card numbers and security codes and wouldn't give me a receipt or anything. I left and was like no this doesn't feel right. I walked back in told him I didn't feel comfortable.. I wanted the paper back...I got the "mam" proper business nice nasty attitude and told that I could come back in 30 minutes when the manager got there to do the refund or I could just eat it . Im like sor you ARE THE OWNER just give me the cash back or do the refund ...he told me sorry n walked off. WOW
Today was my 2nd time..Service is friendly and great!! The kids were super excited to put gummi bears in their ice cream!!! Lol!! Very thick ice cream and so dang good!!! This is our new celebration/ reward spot!! They even have treats for the dog!!
The possibilities are endless. Now that I've had Coldstone, nothing else compares. I get the like it size because it's so rich that a small portion is plenty to satisfy. So good!
It's ok ! Not one of my favorite ice creams to me it's to sweet! Service was good!

Fantastic ice cream the reason for the for star is because the employees working in the back weren’t helping the poor guy up front and he was slammed . The two ladies in the back were farting around in the back
Good ice cream and happy staff. Nice visit.
