My boyfriend and I love Indian food, so we've tried many restaurants and this is definitely one of our favourites. We had Goat as well as Tandoori chicken for our entrees and they were perfectly spiced, definitely delicious. Our appetizer I don't remember the name was similar to potato/onion bhaji, and it was awesome too. I 100% recommend this place, if you're willing to spend between $20-30 per person. It's definitely worth it!
Recently moved to the area so placed a take out order a few days back to check out this restaurant. The experience from ordering to quality of food not even worth one star. The guy behind the counter took my order wrong. When I went to pick up, the order was prepared wrong and the guy wasn't apologetic. He suggested that I wait and they can correct the order. Waited 25 more mins and got my order. The chicken was raw in our curry. My 6 year old got very sick and we had to take her to ER during the night. I called next afternoon to complain and the guy was less than interested in talking. We have reported this place to Dine Safe York. Stay away from this place.
Worst ever biryani I had. Seemed like they served the leftovers of noon for dinner. When asked about it, the lady was least bothered and said she would offer 10% discount. Who would eat that disgusting stale food. There weren’t any ppl on a Saturday evening at the restaurant. Had stomach upset later... I dint wanna give that single star too.... Prices are way too high for the food they serve. Please avoid going to this restaurant .
Worst meal. The resteraunt was completely empty. On a Saturday night!!! The Samosas were frozen cocktail samosas. No flavour. The paneer was squeaky and not spicy at all. The naan did not even taste from tandoor. Only put 2 chicken pieces in curry. Portions were very small. We all had stomach ache after eating. Food was not microwaved enough. The owner was staring at me while I was eating very uncomfortable. No paper towel in washroom. Felt like wiping my hands on his shirt but that was too dirty. On top of that the prices are sky high. Please don’t come here I want give 0 stars not alowwed please stay away this restaurant ruin my whole day.
Worst Restaurant ever been too. It seems they have just invested money on the outlay of the Restaurant and have completely ignored the Food and the Service they provide. We went on Saturday evening and it was empty no doubt, No customers at all. The Menu is tooooo Pricey and the food/Quantity was even worse. I went with my husband and a Friend, we ordered Colaba Goat curry and saag Paneer with 3 Naans. We spent $40 for the food that was not even worth $10. And then even before we were done eating they came to clear the dishes off the table. Never would go back to such Place where they just cheat you. Please don't go there its just rip off. Bad food, Bad Service and Bad Presentation. Doesn't even deserve half a star but have to give to post my review. Anyways one star for just the look of the Place.
For an authentic Indian restaurant, the food is not at all authentic, more created to fool the palate of the Caucasian folks! Had taken my family over to this place for an evening out. The ambience is definitely not fine dining, they had major difficulty in seating a large group 10. The food once ordered is when the tragedy of errors started, normally we don't nitpick, but when your kids naan comes cold out a hot oven, we do start having issues. We got our curries first and had to wait another 10 minutes before the naan/roti even appeared, by the time the curries had got cold. The $39 tandoori platter, which had no variety in the assortment came cold and had no shrimp! The dal bhaati was a chooran of uncooked flour in mixed daal! My parents who had spent a good chunk of their life in Rajasthan were appalled at it. The $3 raita which was to be served never appeared on the table but did make a magical entry on the bill. These are the kind of Indian restaurants which give a bad name to authentic Indian food! Also when you want to charge $25 for a lobster curry - the minimum you ensure is that there is some lobster in it. For the quality of food served, You can get better food in any Indian take-out joint for 1/4th the price. The owner did realize that there were issues and gave a 50% discount on the platter and waived off the cost of 1 daal bhaati, although we never ate either of the 2 ordered. My suggestion is to give this place a wide berth, especially if you have dollars to burn! Find a good place like Avani, Maharaja, or 259 Host which definitely gives you value and quality or drive a bit and head over to Brampton east where even the run of the mill restaurant will give these folks a run on the money!
OMG. Love this restaurant. The food is truly amazing. We tried so many dishes. You got to try the fish pokara. The personalized service is great. The restaurant is clean with soft Indian music playing in the background. This is a restaurant that you want to come back because the experience, the food and the value is great. Will be back soon to try other dishes and would definitely recommend to my family and friends.
Awful place to eat. Absolutely horrible. Worst butter chicken i ever tried was more like canned pasta sauce with chunks of chicken drowning is definitely not butter chicken. Samosa's were not hand made more like frozen goods deep fried way too long. Very unhappy with food and service and bill. Do not eat here not authentic Indian food absolute garbage.
How do I start, wrong orders, long wait time, missed order, bad service. Total disaster this restaurant was, when you tell them there is less salt in dish and ask for some salt they will give you sugar, as they dont know the difference. They dont make their own naan they just buy it from store and serve you. While eating if should you require more naan then be ready to wait 15mins and by the time food goes cold. It was not only us I could see the same faces around. Not even worth for one time visit. Hopefully owners get what they are missing.
Food is really tasty, but the service is stingy. Owners trying to save money in every which way. Had to beg for some chutney. Food quantity is small as well. Also, they say they are Halal and have a certificate to prove it, but its hiding in an envelope before the counter. Feels like they just printed the certificate on thier home computer. Very suspicious.
