Food was ready very fast, but the meat and rice had NO taste at all. Beans had very little taste too, the cheese they put at the top gave it "Some" taste. The only thing that was good was the chips and salsa Picture looks good, but again. NO Taste at all!!!
well after losing my phone and eating a hamburger earlier i was invited to try this mexican restaurant my friend knows since he came to remember his brothers birthday despite passing away. it has been a tradition i think for him and his family. it has also been a familiar tradition for his relatives to dine here so i was invited. it was ok. it was not the best but it was ok. the salsa and chips they offered were fresh but after the first round you have to pay extra on the menu. i ordered the fajitas bistec and it was an interesting way they cooked it. i never knew big chunks of cucumbers they would use on the vegetable salad part. i would expect cilantro which it was lacking. i guess they do not include too much guacamole for my dish as well which everything else was traditional and good. i did not get a chance to check in which i usually do but was using my mom's phone and do not want to logged in to yelp with another android. i would try this again but in the meantime 3 stars for my experience.
Oh my god ! when I tell you they have the BEST steak tacos ever ! The large frozen margaritas are a hit ! I eat here often , the staff are nice and the bathroom is clean my spot before shopping .Recommended dishesChips and Salsa, Steak Tacos
I love this place .always clean and they have great manners and the food and drinks are so very good.no complaints from me .
TERRIBLE! Do not recommend! 0/0 Me and the ladies came for taco Tuesday expecting great drinks, tacos, and customer service. But instead the customer service was bad and the drinks did not taste good at all. I ordered Birria tacos and they were very soggy. I was expecting them to be crunchy and they were not. WILL NOT be back again.
I would recommend the red snapper meal. Delicious. Very attentive staff. The only 2 thing I would complain about is they don’t offer birthday cakes don’t go if it’s your birthday and you love free cake, and the place haven’t been remodeled/ or updated in years. 7/10 would recommendRecommended dishesTacos with Rice and Beans, Chips and Salsa, Seviche, Garlic Shrimp
We went as a family for dinner. We ordered tampiqueña and the dish looked very delicious. But 2 portions of meat came.. 1 very soft and tasty . the other piece very hard and with an ugly taste.. I think that for the price of the dish they should not put cheap meat...
Service = negative five stars, if possible. Don't waste your time on this place. We will not return after the experience this weekend. Hostess/person at the door was incredibly rude. We also had a call-in order. The order was totally wrong so we called the restaurant. the girl who answered rude, short and uninterested. Worst of all, she hung up on us! We took the entire meal back. Then, the manager stereotyped us saying that people usually take advantage. What does that have yo do with us? You can see that the order is wrong and uneaten. There are plenty of restaurants that serve much better food and provide awesome service.
The food is very good. Toned down a bit for a wider audience but was still good and authentic. Large Latinx clientele speaks to the quality of the food. Service can be a bit spotty during peak hours, but no major complaints. The biggest issue with this establishment is a minor "nickel and diming". They only give you one really small tray of chips and small cups of red and green salsa. If you want more you have to pay additional. Fountain drinks are large or small, with no free refills. The decor is a colorful Mexican theme. The prices are a bit higher than other Mexican restaurants in the area, by around 10 to 15%. I haven't had a dish yet that wasn't tasty and pleasing. I recommend the Carne Oaxacan dish, or the standard Carne Asada dish.
If your looking for good mexican food, Coculas is the spot. The food is really good. I’ve been coming here for many years and the food is always good. The reason I’m not giving this place 5 stars is because the wait staff is always a hit or miss. Some of the waitstaff make it obvious they hate their job and during this latest visit I was served by one. I continue to come here because the food is great and I will continue to come here because of the food. I will take my chances with the waitstaff every time.
