Renowned for our excellent raisin buns, whipping cream cakes, and speciality breads, here at the Coaldale Bakery, we have been providing the town of Coaldale with European style baked goods and Dutch imports since 1986.

Story

Our helpful, friendly staff supply far more than mere baked goods. We carry a large selection of pastries, including our famous vanilla slices, freshly made donuts every day, in-stock and special order cakes including many fantastic new varieties, wedding cakes, imports, and much more... you will just have to see for yourself! If you are looking for a quick, fresh, nutritious and delicious lunch or looking for someone to provide catering to your next event the Coaldale Bakery is it. Of course if you are just in the mood for coffee, our cappuccino cafe is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy a nice hot cup of java and a fresh baked snack! Bakery located Downtown Coaldale. Very well organized and clean establishment. With a variety of products, very well and nicely packed. There are two tables to sit there and enjoy a coffee and a bread. Lots of friends recommended this place. When I finally got to go. I was disappointed. The service wasn't nice, it was my first time there, I didn't know exactly what to order and the cashier was rushing me in a bad mood. There was nobody in the line. I ordered a coffee but it was nothing special just a simple coffee with no other options. The bread donuts and cookies are visually nice but the taste is just way too sweet for me. It's sweet over sweet. I was expecting much more for the price. There is a parking lot and a grocery store beside the bakery.
Ordered a white buttercream cake for my gender reveal party and oh my goodness, they did such an amazing job. We were all amazed with not only how it looked but also how it tasted!nWe’ve also tried many different donuts and cookies as well as their bread, bagels and buns from here and have not been disappointed! It’s always so fresh! I definitely recommend checking it out! The ladies are very nice.
This is simply one of the best bakeries in southern Alberta! The vanilla slice is delectable! We also picked up an assortment of donuts and they were enjoyed by everyone. We will be going back to try one of the cakes! The staff were friendly and helpful. There is also a great selection of groceries.
We usually drive-by here to grab some donuts and pastries for small celebrations at work. I really love the varieties, and the smell just makes you instantly drool. The staff seemed to be always rushed but it's understandable as they're busy and baking is just really hard work.nnSome pastries may be too sweet to my liking but the others are just perfect. Love the little international snacks as well! Overall, highly recommended!
Bake your eulogy; their pastries are to die for! Our family tried a selection. Strawberries and cream donut was a favourite. But the mocha meringue mini cake was the unexpected surprise—try it! The vanilla slice is perfectly flaky and full of custard. The cookies are buttery and chewy and not too crisp, yah know. Prices are very reasonable—particularly for how well the larger cakes and pastries show. The selection of Dutch import groceries is exceptional too.
