Just horrible, worst customer service ever. Tee sheet is wide open always for a reason. You cannot speak to anyone on the phone, only through email and text which takes forever to get a reply. It’s hard to believe that someone in management said ok that’s a great way to do business, different from any other golf course on planet earth. Just go somewhere else………
Very well groomed golf course, the grounds keepers do an outstanding job. If you like a fairly flat course, that you can easily walk, it's a perfect course. The main issue is the price, a round of golf is far from cheap especially if you have a medical issue and you require a cart. As far as I know their's no senior rates or reduced fees for special medical considerations.
Nice course but the wind was wicked today! 70km gusts.
Beautiful course. Unfortunately the people running it couldn’t run a lemonade stand.
Clovelly was an amazing experience. The golf course is a great layout, and in wonderful shape. Played 18 in under 4 hours on a weekend, which was also incredible. The facilities were great and staff were all friendly and inviting. I will be making clovelly a regular visit for golf!!!
I was really excited to golf Clovelly but unfortunately due to some mismanagement I wasn't able to get on the course. I had called a weeks ahead of time to inquire about rental clubs and they informed me that they had one set available and to call beforehand to reserve them. Anyway, I called the day before and they said the clubs would be available and to call before my tee time. I called this morning and the concierge informed be that the clubs would be ready for my tee time and that I would get a call back to confirm. No call back but I assume all is good so I arrive at the course. The starter had no idea they even did club rentals and the concierge couldn't get a hold of the person responsible for the the club rentals so I was forced to miss my tee time and cancel. I hold no resentment to the employees, they were very friendly and respectful, however it was really disappointing to have to arrive at the course early in the morning morning only to cancel.
After paying $79.35 to walk the course I was sure it was going to be in great shape. It wasn't; greens are okay but the fairways were really rough. I would have been okay with that, as it has been a rough year for courses in the area, but what was really disappointing was the Marshall. The group of three in front of our foursome was teaching someone to play on a Saturday, in the afternoon! We asked the Marshall to speak to them but they didn't and the Marshall never came back to check in again. We were an hour over the pace clocks, not sure why they are even there if the marshals won't enforce them. For $80 there are better options in the area!
I am frustrated to be told to pick up the pace even though we are right on pace. A gap in front does not necessarily mean a group is slow. They should understand that. I never experience this at other courses. I am not paying to play speed golf. Losing interest in this course.
Best golf course in St. John's and one of the four best in the province. Had both a full sized course the "Osprey" and a par 64 executive course the "Black Duck". The Osprey is a golfers course with approach shots very much dependent on pin position. It's flat, interesting to play and very walkable. The restaurant in the club house has great food.
One of the best course around
