Clifton-Fine Hospital

For a place that doesn’t have a lot of resources, this hospital sure does what it can and gives such care to their patients…at least I can speak for the care they gave my mom. I am so grateful for the care and compassion provided. She passed away earlier this year but she loved the hospital and it’s staff. Thank you to everyone there.

BEWARE After breaking my hip and surgery to place a rod and screws to hold it together..I chose to go to rehabilitation at Clifton Fine in Star Lake.. NY ..hospital/nursing home..rehabilitation.. Absolutely awful.. room …not even handicapped! Cardboard in half of the window.. After being ignored and no bell to ring I put myself to bed . Now understand it wasn't only five days from surgery...No vitals done and no pain meds from when I left Saranac Lake Hospital at 1:00 until 9:00 that evening.. All I took was Tylenol for pain and I fought constantly to get it!! I had to take care of myself…from instant I got there. No protocol for being admitted.. Hopping around on one foot...With a broken hip this room was impossible to get in bathroom with wheel chair..0r even walker would not fit!I The chances of me falling were unbelievable ..I will NEVER.. never... recommend this rehabilitation to this place anyone! My room had not been mopped or dirty gowns and towels picked up until last day I was there... Thanks to my family I only stayed for three days and went home..

I got intubated then transport to Watertown they put me on life support and found I was having issues. They found a piece of plastic Clifton-Fine had lodged in my throat took drs 3 hours to get it out in 2018 I was transported here where my treatment was benadryl was transported to Syracuse where they found I had a stroke.

Professional staff, good service. A touch of Adirondacks makes the building look like a ski lodge on the outside, but the inside remains a clinic. A nice little place, though it's not one you'd visit without a problem to solve, but since they are little you may still have to go to big hospitals for more complicated or expensive problems.

I needed my ER records and called the medical records department. I spoke with Brooke and she was was phenomenal. Send me a release to my work and even followed up with me because I didn’t have a fax number to fax it back to. In the mean time I had called the clinic and they faxed me my records. Brook gets 5 Stars from me and of course the Clinic too

This Hospital/Clinic is the Best place for any kind of health care! The entire staff is professional and true to the calling of Doctors, Nurses, and staff for the sick: old, middle aged, and young. They have a great ER, Radiology, Lab, Physical Therapy, Long-term Care, Nursing Home, and access to Helicopter Medical Transport. They work well with all corresponding EMT's and local Fire Dept's.
