It's the best walk-in clinic in the area by a good amount. They are actually consistently open unlike the Family Focus clinics. The doctor is great and I have never had any issues with the receptionists.nnLike all walk-in clinics around here, you have to arrive super early like at least an hour but preferably even longer if you want to guarantee your spot.
This clinic deserves 2 star because we can walk in and consult in the morning and afternoon shifts.nDo not expect warm welcome, receptionist shows no mercy on you.nYou have to wait outside in the queue at least an hour before the shift starts.nCan't blame the staffs, they are overwhelmed with the patients everyday.nReason is only the poor medical facilities in the province.
Unfortunately could not give negative. Horrible staff and rude attitude. Does not value people's time. They start at 8:30in the morning and 13:30. They get tokens at 1335. You get in the waiting room and they inform you that the doctor is not here yet. Dr. Shows up around 1420 and then start seeing the patients. If your half sick, waiting in the cold outside for nearly 3hours and then again another 3hours in the waiting room without having anything will turn you severely sick.nThe receptionist gets annoyed if you get a minute late to provide your health card, they giggle making fun of you. Never answers a phone, even if they are sitting in front of it doing nothing. They should learn that a receptionist should always be welcoming. Next thing I do not understand is how the token system works. One day they take 25patients and the next day they only have 12tokens. If they inform or post it somewhere, so after a certain no. People can leave and do not have to wait in the cold.nUnfortunately our medical system is so broken that we have no other option except getting into these unprofessional and unethical walk ins.
Staff makes you wait outside, are very rude, prejudice, do not attempt to listen, and very unprofessional with language barriers. $45 fee if you don't have a health card $100 if you cant provide an address. Lady at the front desk with the tattoos, glasses and short brown hair approx 50-60 years old was yelling at the patients as they were trying to communicate with her. She was screaming everyones personal information; easily the rest of the patients could hear. Confidentiality does not seem to be taken seriously with this specific lady at the front desk. Also, they only take 14 patients at a time so if you happen to be after those 14 people, they will not assist you. Come in early if you want to be seen.nnNot sympathetic care by any means. They set unrealistic expectations for everyone and guilt trip you when you make an error remember, people come here with medical issues. Maybe that mistake was related to their medical issue that they are trying to address. Now we are back to how the staff is prejudice. WE ARE HUMANS, treat us as such and you wont need anti staff abuse signs, people react to injustices and they call it “abuse towards the staff”nnDisappointing but not surprised as we are in Nova Scotia and most “healthcare professionals” are not actual professionals by any means.
The worst decision to come here this afternoon! The receptionist lady is rude, impolite and un-empathetic . I told her I was really ill and need to see a doctor and was willing to wait. I told her I was really weak, in lot of pain and felt I was about to fall to which she responded “well that’s your decision and problem not mine”nnI left with tears in my eyes, for this is how someone who is ill and needs help is treated.nnIrrespective of any clinic , in the province or country is fully booked/short staffed or doctors are unavailable, whatever the reason may be, there is a way to talk to a person, no one needs to be tutored on basic courtesy.
