City of Warren Halmich Park

It's an old park, kept up and maintained nicely. It has a couple of play scapes for kids. Lots of softball, soccer fields. Tennis courts, basket ball courts, picnic tables, pavilions and grills. The restrooms were open, but pretty ruff and beat up, the floor was soaking wet from the leaking ceiling where it rained yesterday. It was still usable tho, and it wasn't a porta John!

This park is clean and well kept with a decent size parking lot. It’s nice to bring your family and kids here for a barbecue. There are two playgrounds for the kids to enjoy as well as a baseball field. During the winter you can also bring your kids to sled here since there’s a decent size hill for that lol.

The parking areas need some work. Grass is growing up over the curbs. My father in law tripped and fell over it. I would like to see less tire tracks on the soccer fields off Chicago road as well. Find a way to keep people from driving and doing doughnuts on the fields would be perfect. Visitors also need to clean up after themselves better. There is always trash blowing around. People need to care more about our parks and not be selfish with their attitudes about cleaning up their litter! Update 10/1/2022: The bathrooms are never open.... I literally just walked the entire park and not one facility is open. There are soccer games going on, families on the playgrounds, full tennis courts and a birthday party going on and not one bathroom is open. My star rating has just dropped to a 2.

Best park in the community for all ages! This would’ve been a 5 star rating but the basketball court definitely needs some work. A go-to spot for peace and quiet.

We love this park. We dance here weekly until sundown one night a week, weather permitting. Gr8 group. Sure do wish they didn't "hide" the ends of the speed bumps. They are pretty killer- the first time I went there I tried to ease over the sides- very slowly- but my underbody still took a beating. These are really not speed bumps, they are speed mounds, but they def do slow folks down, but even at 5 mph, you're getting a mini thrill ride!

Have been coming to this park since I was a kid. Loved it than and still love it now. Loved it when the carnival was in the back of the park and was way bigger. Just had our daughters birthday there the Pavillion was nice. The bathrooms on other hand were not so pleasant.

Park is huge! Multiple play areas and covered tables. Great for company picnics. Has a bathroom, not very clean. Has basketball, volleyball, tennis court and baseball diamonds. Lots of fun for the family!

A great city gem. Make sure to visit this park and enjoy the walking path while you're there.

Love this beautiful park.... We just had a hmong american 45th Anniversary Festival here.....

Beautiful. I just needed a quiet moment. The trees and their brilliant colors were just the ticket, a quiet place to read.
